Came in early hours after taking some photos. The guy working there sat me down by the window and was polite. The restaurant was clean and homely with paintings from local artists on the walls, it gave it a relaxed gallery cafe feel. I only had coffee and toast, but looking at the breakfasts and other goodies he was serving to the other diners, it looked good. Will definitely visit again and try have a meal.

Had a wonderful breakfast here yesterday morning. Everything was quite delightful and enjoyed our experience here. The food was great, the price for breakfast was ideal for travelers. The chef was very personable and quite funny. He was also attentive to when we were ready to get the check and leave.

Total tourist trap. They charge you £8.95 for a full English breakfast. Normally I'd pay that amount in London, includes a tea and I struggle to finish the dish, as it's usually quiet large. My plate there didn't include tea, the amount of mushrooms and beans was laughable, the bacon was extremely salted and I left hungry. Service was nice, but that doesn't compensate for an overpriced meal. Hope they do better in the future, as the place and the staff were ok.

The breakfast here was pretty good, the scrambled eggs were super soft and buttery. Though I wanted to try the Mediterranean breakfast which was the only halal item but they were out and so I ended up getting the veggie one which was good also

Great place to go for brunch/lunch/afternoon tea! Authentic British and Scottish breakfast deserve the price. Smoothies here do slap! Gino the boss and his crew are really hospitable. Me and my friends did spend good cozy time here and I will definitely bring more people in the future. What a nice spot to stop, sit down, chill, chat and fill up stomach!

We were visiting Edinburgh from the USA and were very impressed! Don't be deterred by the one or two negative reviews below...this place is lovely. It's welcoming, warm, and cozy. It also had the best espresso out of all the spots we tried in Edinburgh...which is saying a lot because good coffee in the UK is hard to find, in our experience. The food is delicious and you can tell it's made with love. Finally, you must try their Victorian Sponge Cake.....it was AMAZING.

We were after a Scottish breakfast and this cafe didn’t disappoint. Staff were really welcoming and Adi gave great table service and chat! The food was quick to be ready (although it was a quiet time approx 1pm on a Friday). The food was delicious!!! Just enough to fill but not stuff you! Before the breakfasts came out we had a slice of toast With the butter and jam to put on if wanted. Bread was seeded or grained. For drinks we had a latte and orange juice. Both were made fresh and great too.Nothing to fault here, highly recommend.
