The Espy in Edinburgh

Visited first time yesterday. My 2 dogs were made very welcome. Lunch was absolutely yummy😋 blue cheese dip, toasted sourdough bread (3 big slices) and side salad for £5. Definitely value for money. I also had a portion of chips which were hot and crispy. My daughter had southern fried chicken and dirty fries. It was piping hot and so tasty! We will definitely go again and will take the family for lunch.

Home made ginger beer was good food was good also

Went here for breakfast this morning and was not disappointed. Very affordable, delicious food and coffee. Had the Italian Job - eggs, mozzarella and tomato on toast 🤩 Very generous portion. The service was super also. Will be back !

The Espy has the most friendly, attentive staff, they were so helpful assisting my aunt in her wheelchair. It was exceptionally dog friendly, they provided a blanket, biscuits and water for our dog. The food was lovely, good portion size and lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Great atmosphere, would like to visit in the evening.

Recently refurbished, so different to when we were last there. Reasonably busy but plenty of seats. Had scones and coffee, very nice. Served by a lovely Indian lady - I say that only because she didn't have a badge so I don't know her name. We've been a number of times and will return.

Went to an Australian themed day. We did an Aussie quiz. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. They did get an order incorrect but fixed straight away.

Food poor ,ordered fish and chips ,looked like frozen fries ,no peas or salad .Could have got much nicer at local chip shop .ordered drink that never came ,staff change over ,drink hadn't been ordered by previous member of staff .Had ice cream ,very cheap ,poor quality .Won't be eating at espy again .

Super food and great beers on tap. The atmosphere is also lovely and with a great view onto the beach it is a wonderful place to go for a meal.

One of the best beach facility funky super cool place to have breakfast, lunch or breakfast. They have a good menu for cocktails and other drinks as well. Don't miss the catch of the day or special menu!! Enjoy!

Gorgeous ocean views of Firth of Forth. A drink and nosh with beachfront promenade. Sky and sea are one. Staff lovely.
