We've been here before but due to Covid & not being out much, not for a good while. Phoned up. Really pleasant & easy to book a table. Great food & drink & service. The chicken/ haggis meal was absolutely delicious. Proper boiled potatoes with skin on, nice veg & sauce & lovely chicken/ haggis/bacon. Will be back when in Edinburgh

A lovely pub that serves your Guiness with the ever familiar shamrock! The bar bites are straight forward and unpretentious, savoury with the spicy chicken packing a nice little punch. It's bar service now and nice to see a bit of enjoyable atmosphere coming back to savouring a pint! The oat stout is a nice refreshing choice as well.P/s: very clean facilities upstairs!

Lovely authentic pub. Beautiful ceiling and general decor. We ate here......pretty standard fare really. Attentive and friendly staff.

One of my long time favourites. Knowledgeable, polite staff. Lovely to look at , friendly customers. I remember years ago the staff were impeccable in their handling of a guy who was being an absolute a###hole to me and my woman friend. This was 30+ years back. I was so impressed. They took our complaint seriously. I recommend this pub to anyone who asks.

One of THE best traditional pubs left in Edinburgh. Superb selection of ales and guest ales. Always a good atmosphere and never a spot of trouble. Serves great food too. Nice, comfortable bar right in the city centre.

·

Friendly pub, just a stone's throw from Waverley Station. 10 real ales on hand pump. One of just four Edinburgh bars recommended by the Good Pub Guide. All of which would explain the buzz. We arrived quite early, midweek, but struggled to find a seat straight away.Seafood chowder was very nice 😋.

Nice opulent bar area but the prices for food and drink are excellent. Very happy easy going staff and nothing too much trouble. Loved it !

·

Such a classy Scottish pub! Love the decor and the vibe is fantastic. Great selection of beer and drinks. Reasonable price consider it is just a little corner away from Princes Street.

·

Excellent pub tucked just off Princes Street a short distance from Waverley station, so perfect for a drink before or after a train. Curved bar, filled with original features, wood, brass, ornate ceilings etc a perfect example of a British pub.Has an excellent rotating selection of beers including local and independent brewery craft beers from Edinburgh and Scotland.Wine is pretty good, didn't see if any food was on offer but wasn't there for that.Covid safety measures include a one way system, perspex screens in the seating area and restrictions on the toilets, hand sanitizer available.

A wonderful pub just across the road from Waverly Station. Nice selection of real ales and other drinks. Food menu showed a good selection of meals. Brilliant interior and great staff make this a place to visit when in Edinburgh.
