I left my mum here to have a coffee while I was in a meeting. She ordered a lemon polenta cake and a soy latte. My mum has a serious allergy to gluten and dairy. She asked if they have any gluten-free, vegan cakes to which they said the lemon polenta cake. After my meeting was finished I came back and we left to go to St James Centre. When we arrived she started to feel seriously unwell and she knew that something wasn’t right. We spent around 2.5 hours in the toilet, with her vomiting excessively, lying on the bathroom floor because she could barely stand. This was a horrible day and I felt powerless. I knew she wouldn’t be able to get on the train. I had to ask my friend to come and pick us up, we don’t live locally so it took him well over an hour to arrive. We had to get someone to pick her car up from the train station and drive it to our house so it wasn’t left there over night. What an ordeal. My mum contacted the cafe to tell them what happened and they said they would look into this and call us back, this was about 1.5 months ago. They are definitely not calling back. Avoid if you have serious allergies.

Really cool digital nomad-friendly cafe. Porridge and falafel salad were also great.

A group of us with children arrived this afternoon near to closing time and from the start we felt like we where not welcome. The service was poor, the staff where more concerned with closing and chatting than serving us and made it clear that that was how they felt towards our custom.Seriously disappointing as i’d been in before and enjoyed it.Not sure if it was the fact we had children in our group or that they where close to closing but the atmosphere was just off. Such a shame as I wont be coming back anytime soon.

Best coffee ever, such a cozy and lovely place! Been there during my visit to Edinburgh and I just can't wait to come back after Corona. Is there any possibility I can order the coffee beans to Germany? Bought some packages from you but they didn't last us more than few weeks. XX from the Northsea's shores in Germany, Bianca

Went for something to eat but was too late as they stopped serving food at 3 o'clock. Instead had latte and a moccachino and a big piece of carrot cake was so good. Nick was friendly and chatty. Will go back next time for something to eat. Highly recommend!! 👍

A very cosy establishment with very fun throwback decor. The service was good.I had one of their smoothies, freshly made and delicious, accompanied by one of their sandwiches -salami and cheese-.While it all came to about £9, i think the sandwich was a bit deer, but could have been made worth it with a small side of crisps.

A regular haunt for me. My favourite hot chocolate in Edinburgh (simple and delicious). Great range of food; sandwiches on lovely sourdough, tasty soup, wraps, cakes etc. Good coffee and tea selection. Friendly, casual café with lovely staff.

Very wonderful staff, the cafe has the greatest vibe, and we can’t recommend the waffles enough.

Very nice, bright interier with a vintage design. We found on our way from Leith and we really enjoy inside design of the Cafe. Nice, friendly atmosphere and coffe is great, it looks and taste amazing. We didn't order any food but they have a nice choice of modern sourbread sendwiches and they look amazing.
