The Holyrood 9A in Edinburgh

Lovely bar.Great menu and probably the best chips we had while staying in Edinburgh.Compared to the others bars and restaurants around royal mile it’s a bit cheaper and not as crowded, which is really nice.The waitress was a bit confused but still very nice.Had a great evening.

Spent 3 nights in Edinburgh and visited each night. Excellent, friendly and social staff as well as a great selection of beers on tab. Will be visiting again on my next visit. Highly recommended.

Perfect place for a small group of people to get food and drinks quickly. We went in without booking with a group of 8 people for lunch. Service was fast and accurate. Very polite staff and great food.

Great food and even a Jammy Dodger Sundae too. The dog was very welcome with water and dog treats. Vegan and vegetarian friendly. Excellent service and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

Great. Always liked this place pre-kids because of the selection of beer. Now with kids it's a good place to get food (and a nice beer or two). Friendly staff, nice food.

Awesome dog friendly pub. Staff were very attentive and the food was great. They also made a real fuss of our dog providing her with some treats and a water bowl.

Looked for a place that accepted dogs and this came up. Lovely pub, with excellent service and amazing food. Our wee pup was greeted with water and a snack, and was beyond delighted. The chips they serve are perfect. Can't recommend it enough!
