The Jolly Judge Pub in Edinburgh

Was turned away by bar staff at 19:25 on a Thursday eve. Place was maybe 60% full, but they told me it was "completely full". I have to guess they didn't like the look of me? Very strange as I walked to the Bow Bar where I was seated and served immediately.

Great little pub that sells Belhaven Black, one of the best beers I have ever tasted.

Just went for a couple of pints to warm up, but sadly that was not achieved as the pub was also freezing! But I can't imagine it is easy to heat a pub built of stone that is basically underground. The beer was lovely, as were the staff. A very cute little find just off the Royal Mile.

A little bar hidden down steps down a small avenue off The Royal Mile. Seats are limited due to Covid restrictions but you will find it warm and cozy. One of the bar staff was particularly very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the beer and whiskey selection especially if you don't know what you're looking for. A great little gem

Kitchen is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 so no food served. Staff is great. Excellent beer selections and very helpful recommendations. Will definitely revisit while in Edinburgh.

Lovely bar - holds about 20/25 with Covid restrictions. Friendly and highly informative bar staff happy to recommend various whisky and beers available. A lovely intimate place and well worth a visit.

A great little pub just off the Mile. One of the few places in the center of town where you don't need to take out a mortgage to buy a pint. They've always got a good selection of drinks, and the staff are great.

Cozy bar with an excellent selection of local beers, ciders and spirits. Service was great, you can have a little taste of whatever you choose. They are following the newest covid restrictions in Scotland. Highly recommend if you are into local beer and a chill bar atmosphere

Stopped off here twice, and once on our first trip to Edinburgh. Friendly staff and great selection of drinks, we all tried something different. It’s lovely inside on a cold day but had some benches outside in the courtyard. Not bad prices and good service.
