The Kilted Donut in Edinburgh

The one that I share the picture was not filled (vanilla) despite the salesperson saying the opposite. In addition the girls on standing on the counter were disrespectful, they talked about my choice just behind my back and I heard them. Very unprofessional… do not recommend!!!!

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while now but it’s a little out the way for us. Thankfully we were heading to Stockbridge so it was our perfect opportunity. The shop is a lot smaller than expected but it made me like it even more. There aren’t a massive selection of donuts which I expected but that made it easier for us to decide so that’s a positive. We quickly decided we wanted the Eton mess pretzel donut (maybe because it was the biggest) and it was delicious! The texture was spot on and tasted amazing!! I also got a nice cuppa (can’t remember the name of it) which was lovely. The girl that served us was very nice and welcoming. The shop is cosy and well hidden. It was maybe on the expensive side but well worth it.

Walked in on Sunday - great chocolate mocha filled donut and cafe americano! Very nice staff!

Cozy little sitting area, the donuts were delicious (especially enjoyed the cinnamon swirl) and surprisingly filling without being too dense.

Amazing donuts, fantastic service, great coffee and a cool chill atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend this place. We tried it on a whim whilst in town and it is 100% somewhere we would make a regular staple if we were local.

Fantastic donuts and lovely people. The space is light and bright inside, despite being in a basement. I took my donuts away though and they achieved the complex alchemy of being both light and rich.

Cute shop with gregarious service. The doughnut bites were a bit stiff and didn’t seem too freshly made, but the taste was all there.

Rachel was lovely and very accommodating when me and my partner came in and ordered two of everything! Not only did she take the time to do the order not long before close, she made us some fresh since they’d ran out!An absolute gem of a shop and amazing customer service through and through :)

Usually not a fan of sweets but donuts here are simply amazing. In the picture the donut is half eaten, so that should also give you also an idea of how huge they are. I had the mocha donut and the filling was great. Coffe is also really nice. Friendly people, free WiFi, very clean, seems also a good place to work with your laptop.

the best doughnut i have ever had in my entire life! the doughnut was huge for starters - not like those pathetic little ones you will find in the supermarket. the doughnut was also so airy texture wise, and the dough was pillowy and soft and just oh so good! i can’t recommend this doughnut shop enough! please, please, please go!
