The Murrayfield Restaurant in Edinburgh

First time back here for a while, popped in for a couple of drinks and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great beers and gin and excellent staff.

Bit crowded, a lot standing around and punters not wearing masks. Otherwise nice for a drink

Best chicken burger ive had in Edinburgh, hands down.. staff are friendly and the atmosphere is spot on. Reasonable prices and dog friendly. Winner winner..

Popped in on way to rugby so much better than it used to be, in fact came back after game and will be back

Friendly staff, great selection of beer and wine, yummy food without a big price tag, comfy environment. Will definitely come back again.

I wanted to meet some old friends for lunch and the Murrayfield Bar was a convenient location. So I phoned them up on Thursday asking about booking a table for 4 at 1pm the next day. They are normally open at midday. The guy I spoke to on the phone said there was no need to book for a Friday lunchtime-we would be OK to just arrive. The next day my wife and I arrived about 5 minutes early and were surprised to find the bar semi-closed up. We entered and found a single employee and were informed that the person I spoke to the day before was late so the kitchen wasn’t ready and they planned to open at 2:30. An offer was made to phone him and get him there in 5 minutes but we declined. I have no idea what the problem was but they should have been expecting us and literally completely failed to turn up. It was all a bit strange.

Fantastic bar with great choice of standard drinks and cocktails. Food is delicious and the staff and Manager Craig are fantastic. 1st time visiting Edinburgh but will be back as soon as we can just to visit here. Thanks for a fantastic weekend you guys Caroline and Craig xx
