Friendly people, pies are made daily. Still very hot when served! Plenty of choice and good taste.

I have eaten here a few times and rate it as average. The rude personnel must have been replaced as the people who served me have been perfectly polite. As far as I am concerned the best Scotch/mince pies are made by Mathieson's the butcher in Ratcliffe Terrace.

Great shop with an extensive selection of pies, sweets and even soup of the day. Highly recommended 😋😋

Good grub, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Popped here to pick something to eat for breakfast instead of getting breakfast at the hotel. Really nice grub, and not too pricey either. Good local food spot, with options for vegetarians and vegans. Hitting all the right notes here.

Life-saver. 5/5, the pie with mash on the top is one of the best pies that I've ever had in my life. Low price, top quality.

Dropped in whilst visiting Edinburgh for the first time. We had a Scotch pie and a Haggis pie, both were amazing. The service was 1st class. Will recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.

Really nice deep filled pies and pastries fairly prices however worth it due to the size.and taste. Had the large steak slice which was really tasty, big chunks of meat and it was nice and peppery. Would recommend if in need for a pie

Good quality food, reasonably priced and quickly served.Great range of pies, pasties and pastry bakes including specialties that are hard to find elsewhere in the city centre like macaroni pie, haggis pie and tattie dogs.Highly tasty and served hot unlike in certain chain store bakeries!

Had high hopes for this place after reading the many favourable reviews and felt it was important to support local businesses (rather than the more well known pastry shop down the road), however I left feeling very disappointed and unwell. The pie was cold, the fillings were extremely dry and the crusts were far too salty. I noticed the beef mince in my pie was slightly pink, but thinking this was due to the salt/ seasoning of the meat, I ate a little anyway. The next day I threw up and was completely bedridden fighting off nausea and a fever, losing my last day in Edinburgh. As much as I really wanted to support this shop, if you are thinking of trying this place, I would really recommend against doing so.
