Good friendly bar staff. Clientele, fantastic a ggod place for a blether and banter. But also plenty space to sit if your just in for a quiet pint

I can't fault the wonderfully attentive staff but the beer choice needs refreshing. For me to visit Edinburgh and have to drink Tennents says it all. To be fair, there was Doom Bar on tap but I don't touch that any more. (I really don't know who does). No other caak ale and the Tower IPA was off, so there was just lager or Guinness. This used to be a Southside institution with a wall of whisky and three or four ales on tap. Now, it's a chain pub like any other. I could have popped over the road in Glasgow and had exactly the same thing.Food is good value but again, it's the same old menu and there is a new chef who is still finding their feet...

Great little pub, very friendly staff. Great side room for parties and meetings etc. will be back

The best pub in Edinburgh. Sport, music, student life… I love this place. Although James the bartender has moved on, he’ll forever be in our memories, this place still holds the number 1 spot

Was in for St Patrick’s day. Reasonably priced, was poured the best pint of Guinness from Alex and the service was second to none by Alex and Erin. My dad’s Irish.

Great range of drinks, wide ranging menu, food is great. Quick service from very friendly staff.

I came in yesterday for drinks with a few mates. Great service from Alex, friendly locals and nice beers available! I’ll be back soon.

Beer Great. No Bushmills Whiskey nearly cost a point but Bar Staff (Sarah in particular)made up for it! Recommended for a great start of a pub crawl!

Nice place. Could be much better if bartenders were just a little bit nicer or at least said something to you.Food is good and prices are great! They offer different deals according to the day of the week. Good selection of beers.Sports playing on TV, dance floor and slot machine.Clean toilets and clean pub overall. Recommended.
