Very nice wee restaurant with friendly and professional staff. For appetiser we ordered nachos, which was definitely worth the price, nice portion and even better taste. For main meals we ordered burger and steak. The combination of ingredients in my burger didn't feel right because the texture of goat cheese didn't go well with the burger and the onion marmalade I didn't like at all, and to be absolutely honest, for Grill place I was expecting the meat to be absolutely amazing, but it had rly strange burned texture to it, sort of like from not properly cleaned grill. The same taste we felt even from the steak that was on grill aswell. But in general definitely nice place to visit and have a lunch, maybe if I choose different food I would be happier.

Absolutely brilliant food and drinks! Staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful even though very busy, nothing was too much trouble 🙂. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend!

Not cheap for a pub but ambiance is quite refined , cocktails are good and there’s a very good selection of wine. Food is also pretty good, and they have weekday deals running all day.Staff is friendly but also very professional, which I personally like.I also love it that they are dog friendly and always treat my dog to water and biscuits!

Lovely meal with family. Food choices good, service was good and prices fair. Nice kids menu too and given that our kid is under two I was glad she ate free as an offer was available.

Had a lovely lunch here. Good food and the waitress was lovely and so good at chatting to my 84 year old Mother who was reminiscing about The Oak which the Torfin used to be. Great afternoon

I don't normally complain but feel like I wasn't treated very well today. Ordered a burger on the Monday deal and was asked what kind of fries I'd like.So assuming that you could have any fries with the burger, I ordered the cajun fries with my burger. The menu clearly says that fries come as standard with the burger.Either way I was charged 2 quid extra for the fries which some strange reason were 50% off and yet didn't get fries with my burger which come as standard. If you're going to charge people extra, at least make this clear like the extra for the cajun chicken. Otherwise very good quality burger.

Lovely place. We had a nice late lunch along with a relaxed afternoon beer. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The bar/lounge area is pretty basic with some extremely uncomfortable, upright wooden seats. Very close to each other and zero comfort. The restaurant is better with candles and a bit more comfort and atmosphere. The food is average. The wine list is very disappointing and the two different white wines I tried tasted bland and slightly watered down. Not good quality at all.Nice and helpful staff.Very mediocre overall.

We were lucky enough to be seated for lunch with no prior booking even though it was a very busy six nations weekend. The staff were amazing friendly and accommodating, as well as the food being delicious as well. Thank you Mike. (Shame about the result!)
