Troy Cafe in Edinburgh

Great coffee, great food (they have a fantastic Scottish breakfast and nice burgers) and very kind staff! Definitely a good place to go when in the area!

I love this place! Really good food and great value, nice staff, close to Haymarket Railway Station too which is really handy!!

Went two days in a row. Didn't have to order on second day. They remembered our order ..Went in on Monday, food was really nice, my bacon and mushroom breakfast roll was nearly perfect. It's not hard to make but how many times do you have an average breakfast roll?? This wasn't. Genuinely really really nice.Then today we went back in and the gentleman serving us remembered our exact order..Food came out quickly and once more it was really tasty and well made.Normally we swap places but we'll be back tomorrow for our third day in a row..

Troy Cafe-Bistro is a great place for breakfast. Turkish breakfast and tea delicious. Quick service and lovely staff. We will definitely come again.

Lovely staff , food was good , lovely coffee . Toilets a little off putting , maybe some attention to it may help alot .

£8 for about 3 tablespoons of Macaroni cheese and chips. I'm sure the pasta came from a tin or was extremely overcooked. I've paid less in a proper restaurant for homemade. No masks for staff either. I won't be back.

It was a cold Sunday and I was looking for a cosy cafe. I found the Troy Cafe. The staff were very attentive and there was a wide range of food and drink on offer. I ordered the Scottish Breakfast and I wasn’t disappointed. Quick service and a huge portion of food! Super tasty and great value for money. I left feeling full and very welcome. I’ll definitely be back again. Thanks x

The worst avocado toast I’ve ever ordered. Thin spread avocado that looks like it’s gone off a while ago.

The setting is nice, and the location was very convinent for where we were staying. The food is a good standard, maybe a little on the basic side. As I understand this is a Turkish owned place. After the owner stated that the Turkish Breakfast was the one to go for it was slightly disappointing to only have 3 and a half bits of Turkish sausage. The service was good and it was reasonably priced.

Went in for breakfast. The cafe is on the smaller side, but not cramped by any means. I'm not a fan of the fried, salty breakfast found throughout Scotland, I prefer something fresh, healthy, and sweet which is nearly impossible to find. Unfortunately I'm allergic to eggs so 90% of breakfast options are also ruled out. Upon ordering I opted for the chicken wrap, which the server was hesitant to allow me to order, but eventually gave in. The wrap took about 30 minutes to be delivered to the table which I thought was rather lengthy; thankfully I wasn't in a rush. The wrap was, however, pretty good. The chicken tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. Bell peppers and lettuce lined the inside which were also fresh. The wrap itself was rather dry and the sandwich could've used some kind of sauce. The salad it came with left a lot to be desired, it wasn't something I'd fancy again. Overall, I wasn't highly impressed. 3 stars.
