The food was very dry and very small portion sizes. We ate it because we were so hungry but didn’t enjoy it at all. When asked if everything was ok we said it was very dry but no one came to speak to us about it. The pork wasn’t a good dish. The burger was also dry and not enjoyable. We ate our food because we were so hungry which was a mistake because it looks as though we enjoyed it 👎👎👎 restaurant was also very cold. The setting is lovely it could be a fabulous experience which is a shame

Me and my daughter came before Christmas for a shopping trip, I saw the menu and thought it would be great to bring the rest of the family back for steak and lobster. We ordered lobster, not on tonight it's a steak house, not the place for lobster, was what we were told. Ordered the scallops starter, tasteless. Went for the porterhouse sharers it was cold, did tell the waiter, he offered to take back to the kitchen, for what? We'd waited all day so was hungry. Plates were cold food was cold. Beautiful hotel but I'd eat some where else. Service OK but could be more cheerful.

Visited last week, very disappointed with the food and service overall. Myself and another person at our table ordered fillet steaks which turned out to be incredibly dry and not cooked as requested. Nobody came to check after bringing the mains for about 20mins & we ended up sending our plates back with over half the steak. The manager was quite argumentive when I gave honest feedback. Chips and greens were good, wouldn't recommend for fillet.

Despite being empty they wouldn't answer our call to book a table. When we arrived they seemed quite put out. My medium-rare was below rare. The mustard was in a sachet! The wine list is poor, the whiskies all standard supermarket fare. This used to be a great place to eat but it seems they've given up the fight against the growing competition.

I wish I could give more stars than 1 but the only highlight was the lovely decor, table service was slow without staff checking in even though it was not that busy. Many of the popular dishes were unavailable early in the day, the vegan dish of two halves of a squash served was soft like an old banana instead of fresh and grilled as described. Don’t bother if you’re a vegetarian or vegan because this was only one dish that seems suitable & it was not mentioned that nuts or seeds were used as garnish. Three out of five meals including the squash were almost sent back to the kitchen with two of the fillet steaks being incredibly dry and overcooked. When finally asked how our food was at the end of our visit we mentioned that the dishes were not cooked as requested and wanted the kitchen to know in a pleasant manner - we were given a rude and quite argumentative response without even a thank you or good wishes on leaving despite the low number of guests at the time. The high price paid and the food and service received in my opinion is not worth it. Would not recommend.

It was very busy and one if our party's food got mixed up the lady who was waiting our table corrected this straight away. The food was a choice from festive menu and very enjoyable. There was a longer wait as they were short staffed for food and drinks but the girl was run off her feet and was doing amazing. I would definitely go back when a bit quieter.

AMAZING QUALITY AND VERY DELICIOUSI've come here twice and both times were fantastic! The staff are very warm, friendly and helpful.I've gotten the soup both times and both times they were delightful. Very flavorful and wholesome. There was also some decent bread served up with it.First time I came here, I got one of the sharing boards and it was awesome! Everything on the platter was so superb and delectable. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender. The ribs were meaty with a lovely sweet BBQ sauce on top. The prawns had a great grilled taste to them. Lovely crispy chips the first time around. If you order this you'll need to go with a big appetite just so that you can eat everything because I think you'll definitely want to.Next time round I got the steak frites from the lunch menu. Fries this time round weren't as crispy as the first time round but were still very nice. The steak pieces were fantastic again. Perfectly cooked and extremely moreish.I highly recommend going here!

If I could put more stars I would! We visited tonight for an amazing meal! We had 3 lovely waiters who were polite and friendly. Quick service. All the food was clearly freshly cooked and made with so much care. The ribs were the best I’ve ever had! Thank you so much, would highly recommend!

The restaurant is beautiful, inside the Indigo Hotel which is also lovely. We weren't really impressed with the food, quite plain in terms of flavour, but the mussels were very nice and a starter salad with halloumi was also good. Service was quick and very friendly.
