Vesta Restaurant & Bar in Edinburgh

Staff were wonderful, atmosphere was great. We love that they have a relationship with Social Bite and support homelessness. However, before ordering we were told an unusually long list of items not on the menu today - fine. We ordered the Avacado with Focaccia (mainly because we were after the focaccia!), yet when it arrived we were brought a small portion of avocado on brown bread. They apologised that they forgot they were also out of focaccia. Ended up just being a shame that we were still charged the original meal price of £9.50 for something that we hadn't ordered and was not worth that much. Cocktails were great though! 🍹

A lovely wee place, staff friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. Only downside was we had a couple.of people join us later and even though the order was prompt, as was the food arrival, their drinks had been forgotten. I had to ask for them again, a small negative in an otherwise enjoyable experience.

food here was amazing!! lovely vegetarian options as well as meat. would 100% recommend. we were told upon entry that the service would be a bit slow because they were understaffed but in the end we managed to order and eat 2 courses within an hour. polite staff despite being run off their feet👍🏻

Lovely food, great menu, friendly and efficient staff and the cocktail list is to die for !! All in really lovely comfortable surroundings and the social bite aspect and community care is outstanding

You need to go here!!! OMG!!!! This place is AMAZINGGGG!!!! The food is amazing our drinks were amazing, our server was amazing, everything was amazing!!! Our server Chris was delightful and we had an amazing conversations about traveling, American culture, and American Football! For food, I ordered the BBQ Mountain Burger was a delicious vegan burger. My mom ordered fish and chips which she enjoyed! For drinks, I had the Vesta Punch (a mocktail) and my mom had an old fashion which she enjoyed as well. For dessert, I had their brownie which again was delicious! The place is well designed with beautiful plants and light fixtures. Recommend this place for any occasion (according to some posters around they have bubbles and brunch too).

The food was absolutely delicious. The lamb roast was melt-in-your-mouth fantastic. Everything we ordered was so tasty and beautifully prepared. The service was very nice add well.

We had a lovely evening here! Some of the items on the menu had already sold out, but we still had a choice of plant based options. The staff were busy, but all were friendly and helpful.The ambiance was very pleasant, with a natural style decor and good music (but not too intrusive).Most importantly, we had the opportunity to add a little onto our bill to give a homeless person some dinner too, via Social Bite. I wonder if they’ll try the brownie too?

Lovely venue. If feels relaxing and the decor gives an excellent atmosphere. As soon as we sat down and starts to enjoy the ambiance we were given a Kilner bottle with water. This adds to the brilliant feeling of being a valued customer. I highly recommend this place. 👌

Nice interior design. Great place for a casual but upscale-feeling bite. Good music. I love that they had an entire vegan section on their menu! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the smoothies and salads that we got could have been more flavorful - however, I’m sure their mains are better. In general, great experience & love that you can donate there to feed the homeless.
