My wife and I went for all day breakfast this morning. When we ordered the breakfast came and was well presented.. Just about everything on the plate wasn't as warm as it should have been. It was as if we got what was left over from the buffet breakfast.. my wife's bacon was overly crisp as if it had been under the heated lamp in the buffet for hours.. Sorry won't be returning..

Ordered the steak (medium rare) & my wife ordered the beetroot burger. They arrived quickly, but no chips on the plate. So had to reorder chips. The peppercorn sauce was grey & there was no steak knife. It didn’t matter as I the steak itself was totally raw, obviously the pan it was heated on was tepid. Couldn’t cut it so left it.

Went at 7pm, party of 7 people. There was no carvery because they had no meat, no mac and cheese and no coffee as there machine wasn't working. However, what we did manage to eat was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had a horrible time from start to finish was greeted as we entered 9 on a reserved table out of the 9 of us there, there was at least 6 wrong orders and my wife is gluten free due to medical conditions and was issued a gluten free menu for desert she had ordered the Bakewell tart and then was told that it has got gluten in it after being on the gluten free menu and would have been extremely ill if she didn't ask about it very disappointed in the service after entry and will not be back.

Gotta say looks ok from outside, standard pub chain fayre. Food was average at best and a good 45 minute wait. Getting drink, long process!! Queue at the bar, 1 person serving taking food orders and drink orders! Waited 15 minutes for a pint! Not inspired to come back! Staff under pressure and not their fault, needs some organisation and management input!

I attended on 1st June 22 for a meal at 7pm, we were then informed there was no mashed potatoes available, no carvery was available and all day breakfast on the menu was not availableAfter waiting 35 minutes for our starter we had to ask staff to check this out, 40 minutes later we had to also ask where our main course was.The amount of customers being sent away from the restaurant was absolutely shocking. If you intend to run your business in this way then I think you should have a review on how your restaurant is run in Edinburgh.I have dined here since you opened and going downhill is all I can say is happening here.

Absolutely loved this place. Actually changed our dining plans so we could make a return visit. Staff outstanding and meals very good value for money. Wish this place was next to my house!!

First visit to the Westgate Farm - Dining and Carvery and was quite impressed. I had a tuna melt ciabatta which came with chips, salad and coleslaw and was very nice and reasonably priced. The surroundings were very comfortable and the staff very pleasant. I'll be back. Why only 4 stars, nowhere is perfect!

DREADFUL¬ great menu yes, but the service is rubbish! for a family of 5 we waited an hour to get our main meal after the relative fast starter (which was nice) the drinks came 35 mins after seating! after contacting staff, the waiter went to the kitchen, never came back! i approached a member of staff, she went to the kitchen and 5 mins later the food arrived... over done, not very tasty at all, dry chicken and steaks.. 2.5 hrs to get a starter and a main!???!? for 3 kids thats BAD! never again shall i return here

AVOID the Jerk beef rib & chicken 🤮Never seen or tasted something so disgusting in my life.Furthermore they forgot our kids starter so brought it half way through our main meal. It had clearly been sitting and was a block of hard cheese with nachos stuck underneath it.Then we asked for the kids desserts to be told there was none left. We asked if there was any alternative to which we were told “it’s free anyway” I was a bit shocked so made my point that it’s NOT FREE, it’s INCLUDED in the price of the meal. Also we ordered an extra kids dessert so DEFINITELY wasn’t FREE! So annoyed with the waitresses reply to this and although the food was shockingly poor tonight we do come often so we know what to expect. It is what it is. But the waitresses attitude tonight is why I’m leaving this review. But I will repeat AVOID THE BEEF JERKY 🤮
