Wetherspoon Pub at The White Lady in Edinburgh

We stayed in the hotel as we were travelling the next day from Edinburgh. Very good value for money - clean, good facilities and a pub below for cheap food. Very easy buses to the centre of Edinburgh. Only thing that stopped me giving it a 5 stars was the pillows were dreadful and the bed was slightly uncomfortable. However, on the whole I would stay again.

Food was good and served up sharpish. Good selection on beers, app ordering worked OK. Only I could pick something online that was out of stock in the bar

Very enjoyable stay here. Comfortable room at a reasonable price. Meals and drinks are very good with a wide range of food and great selection of drinks at fantastic prices.

We waited 3 hours and we’re not offered table service so ordered using the app (due to covid guidelines we are not allowed to order at the bar) we made a mistake with the order on the app and tried to explain this the the manager who at 1st point blank refused to amend the order. I honestly felt like I was being told off like a petulant child. I then asked to cancel which begrudgingly he did with a tone that quite frankly made me wonder how on earth he is working in hospitality. The manager in the restaurant was rude, angry and even the staff were hiding behind their masks cringing at his attitude. We reordered correctly and had our previous order reheated and thrown at us. It was so uncomfortable to watch and we were too embarrassed to mention the food was cold, rubbery and chips were cold dry and burnt. Not to mention no “enjoy your meal” no one asked how the food was, did we need any sauce etc and we were not served drinks with our meal. . I can’t say if it was the food or the manager but nevertheless we left with a bitter taste in our mouths. And quite frankly extremely shocked and disappointed. Shame it’s been a popular restaurant with decent food for many years but not somewhere we definitely will not be returning or recommending now.

Typical Wotherspoon pub - lively, busy. Good range of beers and wine, food as well. Great atmosphere, good service, friendly staff. We have been there several times and will probably go there several more.

Made our Christmas. Lovely staff everyone from reception and bar staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. Room was large and very comfortable. Would stay again.

Stayed in the hotel here. Standard room, was decent for the price we paid. Staff were all lovely and helpful when we needed it. Pub was the same as every whetherspoons, no complaints at all.

Hadn't been out in a while and really enjoyed our few hours at The White Lady. Staff were friendly and obliging and drinks and food were excellent value. Promotions on Deuchars and Doombar at £1.10 and £1.29 a pint so can't complain!

You either love or hate "mega pubs", and the service can sometimes be quite slow, but the White Lady always has a great selection of beers and guest ales, at an unbeatable price. And the food too is varied, tasty (mostly), and very well priced too.Plus the cavernous interior means you almost always find seating, without it ever feeling crowded.There might be quainter pubs in the area, but this one is always worth a visit.

Very cozy place. Food was nice as were the drinks. The staff were very friendly, the waitress, named Dana, serving us was extremely helpful and created a list of attractions, bars and restaurants to visit. Excellent service. The hotel room was clean and comfortable.
