Unique bar and restaurant in cellars. The food and service amazing. Very good selection of wines. Definitely recommend a visit.

Had a business dinner with 3 colleagues here in March 2022 - taken there by a local person who recommended it. A stylish place to eat with a good menu. I had the haggis croquettes to start and then the prawn pasta. Service was first class and the price point seemed reasonable. Would highly recommend.

The staff were brilliant, helpful at every moment of the evening. We arrived hopeful of a table on a Saturday night and seemingly from a reservation that did not show up we got a great table in the depths of the cellers. Cosy, intimate and exactly what we were looking for.Wine: Perfect. Table: magnificent. Company: average (but that was my choice) ((lies, they were class too, it just seemed like too good a review to not give a downside))We will definitely be back but 100% will book next time!

First class bar. Lovely staff. Highly recommended. It's a basement bar so not best suited for those less able.

Currently at 4.3* I think this place is a bit underrated, definitely worth paying a visit. Not noisy at all (as some people have complained here). A solid selection of good-quality wines by the glass. Interesting cuisine. Nice staff

Amazing food and wine. It was a sunrise dinner and my best friend chose this place to celebrate. Loved all courses, but the cullenskink soup and sticky toffee pudding were probably my favourite courses. Looking forward to go back for them.

It had been a few years since my last visit so was glad to return. I had olives and bread as a starter. Olives were exquisite. Then delicious beer battered haddock with coleslaw, chips and peas. Finished with sticky toffee pudding, sweet! The wine selection is extensive. I was happy the casual drinkers were kept separate from those who were eating. It is truly a special cellar to eat in. Lovely late lunch with very good service, attentive but not pushy.

I didn't go for the wine so couldn't comment on that, but that was by far one of the best meals I've ever experienced, and I've eaten at some high end restaurants. The Ribeye was out of this world, cooked to medium rare perfection and served with a fried tomato and rocket salad, which sounds mundane, but they somehow elevated this to a level of the sublime. I literally closed my eyes to enjoy each bite. Also ordered a side of chips, and even the chips blew me away! I don't know what they do to achieve such an effect from the humble side of chips, but I've literally never tasted em like this. The serving size was just right, but I could have easily eaten it again out of sheer gluttony of delight. Do yourself a favour and check this place out. Will definitely return! ☺️

A big pub with a restaurant we enjoyed our food and drink here. Seafood features a lot in the menu as does lots of Scottish produce.Went for the seafood platter for two and it is indeed a feast, we had fries and bread too to keep it company. Innes & Gunn original time wash it down. Didn’t stop there, had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream and Anster Cheddar and Highland Blue cheeses.
