Beijing Banquet in Midlothian

Lots of food choices unbelievably good value for money. Nice decor and comfortable to sit in was a bit chilly but I imagine if busy that's not a problem.The bathrooms were spotless and the staff were welcoming. Well worth the visit just a shame the location is a bit out of the way. Would definitely go again I think this is the best Chinese buffet iv ever been in. Only one thing I didn't much like was the pizza and pasta option I felt it was out off place and not required 🤔 why do 3 things badly when you do everything else so well.

I visited this buffet restaurant again last week and today after the long period of closure due to the lockdown and the coronavirus outbreak. I should say that I was impressed with the level of hygiene and how they had maintained their quality. The food was fabulous as always and the staff were friendly and helpful. The safety measures put in place were also very effective. We will certainly return soon.

Absolutely delicious, especially the rice! Chips are usually soggy from a takeaway, but not this place. Shredded chicken in chilli sauce was amazing, just the right amount of sauce and spice. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Lots of choice from most food groups and you can take what you find best to eat for as much as you can handle. They have put in measures for our current times (2020) that are appropriate and we felt that it was fine.It only misses a higher rating as there is very little change in the menu ever so it can get a bit unexciting after a few visits.

Had lunch here yesterday and it was delicious. The food was fresh, hot and constantly being topped up. There was so much to choose from. The staff were friendly and very efficient at keeping the place lovely and clean. We can't wait to go back. Thanks

Discovered this gem today. An eat all you can chinese style buffet with all your chinese favourites plus clay oven pizzas and other Italian style choices, a sushi selection, an amazing salad bar and a fabulous selection of desserts. I took my dad there and at 86 he loved it but as he said far too much to choose from when you are not used to this type of dining. Staff were very helpful an efficient. It was busy but appeared to be spotlessly clean. There's a bar serving the usual drinks and a never ending soft drink fountain. You can have am amazing 3 course meal for £11.49 during the day, slightly more expensive in the evening. Go on, give it a try. You know you want to

We attended the Beijing Banquet with my aunt and uncle. As the name implies, it is a banquet or buffet type or restaurant.It had a good selection of food but more importantly the cleanliness and very prompt service whether it was removing the used plates from the tables or cleaning up around the buffet or replacing dishes when they were near empty.Yes I would come back again.

For a buffet pretty good, help yourself drinks dispenser, decent puddings and had plenty of Chinese dishes plus pizza and sushi. Even had streamed dumplings although they were overcooked. Only down side was loads of screaming brats but that's in no way the fault of the restaurant.

Have been twice now. The food is fresh and full of flavour. The staff are friendly and attentive. Plates are cleared quickly and drinks are ordered and brought promptly. It doesn't suffer the bland same taste across all dishes that some other world buffet restaurants I have been to.Would highly recommend to those who like Chinese food.
