Craigiebield House Hotel in Midlothian

Excellent hotel with very helpful staff. Close proximity to Edinburgh and the city bypass. Penicuik itself is a nice town, there is a park near to the hotel.

Place was really nice and clean staff were excellent but food was a bit of a let down the burger was bland and the starters were to small for 5he price you pay but apart fro. That I would recommend to my friends and will return myself

Its a fantastic place for weddings. partys. Or just to meet friends for dinner or a cosy drink or coffee. Give the cragie visit you won't be disappoint,

Stayed at The Craigie 12th February. We had some snacks in the bar which were lovely and fresh, great cocktails a breakfast to die for! Friendly staff and lovely room. The only negative point was trying to get a table in the bar when you're a hotel guest but wouldn't stop me returning to stay....receptionist was also very friendly and helpful 🙂 thank you for a lovely stay x

First time we have been to The Craigie Hotel. We met friends for lunch. Very impressed. Lovely place, very nice staff and lovely menu. Really enjoyed our lunch. Will definitely be back.

First time here and we weren't impressed. This was for my boyfriends 50th Birthday. Our fish over cooked I even commented when it arrived and nothing. Macaroni cheese like mush. Kids loved their pizzas though.

If you are thinking about staying/eating/drinking at The Craigie just stop thinking about it and book it. I echo the sentiments of the other 5 star reviews.Pound for pound the best hotel experience ive had in years!

We had our wedding here in September this year. The event staff were amazing, the bar staff on the day were incredible and everyone commented on how attentive they were.Every wish was met, all the little creative extras were there and they even did a signature cocktail for us.We had several rooms booked out for ourselves and guests.I could not recommend this more as a venue, it's reasonably priced and highly personalised.Thank you so much to all the team, for hosting such a lovely day for us and our friends.

Lovely place to stay, very clean,the staff are excellent, extremely friendly and welcoming. Plenty of car park spaces.The room was nicely decorated and furnished, the bed was comfortable and was very peaceful, no traffic noise whatsoever which is a problem at many other hotels I've stayed at.The restaurant is very good, prices are about average but food quality is above average, nice atmosphere in the restaurant and serving staff are very courteous and helpful.Breakfast was lovely and again the staff were polite and friendly the only thing I could probably say to improve the breakfast is maybe have a self service section for cereals/toast and drinks etc to save calling the staff over when you need something.Probably in my top 5 of hotels I have stayed at in the last 30years!Will definitely be staying there again when next in the Edinburgh area.
