The atmosphere was very relaxed and you didn't have someone coming up to the table every five minutes to check. The food was OK but the brownie with the cappuccino was rather tough and the nachos were loaded with cheese which had dried so was hard to pick apart.

I’m genuinely perplexed at the amount of positive reviews for this restaurant. The food was absolutely horrendous. It’s such a lovely looking little pub/restaurant, I pass it on a daily basis when I’m out walking the dog.It always looks really lovely and busy in the evenings, even throughout the week. Even tonight as we were in, it got really busy! This evening, my partner and I visited the restaurant to have a little drink and some food. Much to our disappointment. My partners food, although usually a choice that’ you would describe as moist and flavoursome - was dry, powdery and tasteless. My meal which again is usually something you would describe as juicy and moist was more akin to a rubber eraser. Speaking of descriptions, on the menu, my food is described as “premium”, which it most certainly was not.Anyway, I’m not really fond of writing such negative reviews but we actually left midway through our meal because it was so bad.Hopefully it was just a one off experience and maybe we shall revisit in the future. However, it won’t be any time soon.

6 off us Traveled out from Edinburgh on Thursday night for the steak 🥩 night they have and tables were empty with signs on them saying reserved for quiz night! Then at bar was told we had to book so we weren't allowed food! Absolutely crazy seeing empty table's at teatime and we couldn't get food because of a quiz starting later on that night! Think this is a bad management desision turning people away that eat there every weekend normally for a quiz night starting later on! Table's were empty and 6 for food would of been over £100.00 bill! Insane!!!

It all depends what you want from a pub.I was there at 5pm.Football was on, was a bit loud. Just a fraction. Table next to us that is, not the telly. However, we will definitely go back.Friendly staff, knowledgeable, dog friendly, and the food is cracking.Especially the shared nachos.Vegan options are very good too.

I just wanted to add that I had a great experience at this place. The staff were so friendly and kind and as I had my wee dog with me they just couldn't have been more helpful. My wee Aurora is a rescue and I'm trying my best to get her out and about and meeting people and seeing the good in them to help increase her trust. They staff were so kind from giving her treats through to understanding her fear and hesitation. I felt so comfortable there and Aurora really was able to relax. I also managed to eat delicious food - with Aurora having her own meal as well which she enjoyed along with the many treats she got too. It was just a lovely atmosphere from the staff and fellow customers and we will defo be back xx

Went out for a meal with work colleagues, what a feed. The fish and chips was huge but very tasty. Too much, I was ready to burst. I'm sure we will return. The other guys were on the cocktails, they were amazing. Thank you for having us.

A really nice, family orientated premises. Clean, tidy and the food was lovely. Thoroughly recommended if you want a nice day or night out.

Love it here, easy going, relaxing place to meet with friends and great food.

Amazing food Customer service was outstanding Price was brilliant Would highly recommended

A standard pub offering standard pub grub. Fairly drab inside, not overly welcoming - staff pleasant enough. Beef and ale pie good, mash and veg left a little to be desired. Scampi meal and ham/egg meal were average. Prices best part of it. Would use again for convenience if needed.
