Where is The County Restaurant?
🏠Dalkeith Country Park via Town Gate, Dalkeith EH22 1ST
"Open for breakfast from 9.30am to 4pm and lunch 11am to 4pm. From 9-11am and 2.45pm-4pm you can also book for coffee and cake. We do accept walk-ins but recommend booking in advance to avoid dissapointment. The Kitchen is located at Restoration Yard in the stunning Dalkeith Country Park just 20 minutes from Edinburgh. Our restaurant is situated in a beautiful Tuscan-inspired courtyard with stunning views across the park. Old meets new here where historic brickwork meets contemporary floor to ceiling glass windows. Dietary requirements catered for and kids menus too."

The County is a hidden gem. Nestled in a quiet village, it overlooks the village green. Rooms spacious and well decorated, I've yet to find a more spotless hotel. Fantastic breakfast and very good choices. Definitely a place to visit again.

Early evening meal at the County, the pub was very busy, but food was ordered abs brought to us without too much of a wait, so much choice and allergies catered for. Decided to pick Asparagus with poached egg in a hollandaise sauce which was spot on and for a main course I plumped for Belly pork with black pudding served on apple and potato mash. Decided a pudding was too much the choice was very tempting.

Fantastic culinary experience………My wife and I, along with our dear friends visited The County restaurant, 13 The Green, Aycliffe Village, County Durham today, Saturday the 19th of March (2022). As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by a lovely waitress/ hostess called Claire. She showed us to our table , gave us some menus and took our drinks order. We all chose different starters and mains. Kieran, our waiter, brought our meals and we were not disappointed. Why?, because:1) The food was well presented2) The plates were red hot3) The food was piping hot4) The food was excellent, tasty and plentiful5) The waiter/waitress ( Claire and Kieran) were super friendly, polite and professional, nothing was too much trouble.6) The pub/restaurant was spotless, warm and inviting.A truly fantastic culinary experience. Well done to all at The County restaurant.

Good place; very quiet and cosy. The room was a little small for that price. But overall is good if you need to spend a night or two.

Food was nice but took a while to come and potatoes came quite a bit after and extra veg ordered not at all. Pub itself is beautiful nice atmosphere.

Great choice on menu, food was lovely, staff were really nice and very professional. Only negative was some of food had clearly sat under hot lights long enough to develop a skin (2 out of 6 meals).

Enjoyed a night away in this lovely pub/hotel . Plus great beer, friendly staff, good food and the best cooked breakfast I've had for a very long time.

Tried this after looking for last minute booking. So thankful we did! Fabulous meal, excellent quality food, great staff and comfortable dining in cosy but well spaced restaurant. We will definitely be back often!!

A very pleasant lunch in a very smart pub/restaurant. The lunchtime menu seemed pricey - over ÂŁ14 for some mains. However, our eggs Benedict and cod burger with. Brioche bun, fries and a beautiful salad were good value and under a tenner. There was a good choice of desserts. Look forward to a return visit so that we can try the evening menu. The ingredients were excellent quality and the food was expertly prepared and presented.
