Coffee shop closed, shop was selling basic things could not see any local produced stuff. Basically could have bought everything with some carefully shopping around town.

Fantastic organic pork and leek sausages to be purchased here when available. My partner phoned them last week to check if they had any in stock and I was thrilled when she confirmed that she had spoken to an English lady who told her that they did and had kindly put the last two packs aside. When we arrived to pick them up, imagine our surprise when the English lady said that they had none in stock and hadn't had any for months. Furthermore, she stated that she had not taken any calls regarding the ordering and putting aside of sausages. We left feeling a bit deflated and confused, both by the lack of sausages and the mysterious circumstances surrounding this. However, on our return home, my partner checked her phone log as she had left her phone at home. Unfortunately, it transpired that she had unwittingly reserved the sausages from an organic farm shop in county Durham, some 130 miles from where we live. Needless to say, we didn't attempt to go and collect them and my partner called them to cancel the order.

The farm is a real haven for organic food lovers. Great garden centre above the Cafe and farm shop. Art gallery and curiosity shop with all sorts of vintage antiques to peruse too. The new cafe owners have recently taken on the space and big improvements on what it was. Food is organic much from the farm and sticks to a local is best mentality. I hadn't been for a while and went to the supper club which is every last Friday of the month which was only £28 for 5 courses! I love what these folks are doing and so welcoming. Food service isn't always the fastest but it's served with a smile and all excellent quality. I've been in the week and the weekend for fab coffees since and came today with my Mum for a lovely lunch from their new summer menu. Will be back again and again.

The shop is good, decent prices and nice goods but my review is on the cafe - really, the food/coffee is decent but I don't think I have ever experienced quite such slow service. They had hardly anyone else in there and 4 staff, yet took 20 minutes to get me a coffee and scone (which was litterally sitting on the side and not hard to prep). The woman also didn't seem that happy, so all in all it was what should have been a good experience mired by poor service.

Really bad experience. We ordered 3 burgers and chips and two salads. Took ages to tell us that no tofu burgers available so we changed our order. I ended up with a small slice of cold quiche with a few cubes of undressed pepper. Another of our party got two grilled vegetarian sausages placed between two slices of dry brown bread with no salad, no butter, no sauce. This was meant to be £7! We all ordered chips but these never arrived. I think they must of ran out of food because other people’s plates looked a lot fuller and more exciting than ours! The front of house staff were really understanding and nice so I think they have maybe had to deal with this a lot. They were very friendly and took money off our final bill. I think they need to hire a new chef and extra floor staff though ....

Lovely place, cafe let it down.in general, food good, staff polite and friendly however,Main served before soup. Needed steak knife to cut roll, solid, couldn't be eaten.3x staff, all of them messy, the cook has a big flour handprint on her back, one server covered in 'something' on her pinny chest. Other server not dressed fit for the public with a skirt that was ludicrous, hands wiped front back and chest. Letdown.

A great selection of tasty organic foods and the fairy walk is extremely cute. Heather the owner is always so welcoming and she is a credit to the community. We love the golden beetroot and have not seen it anywhere else but here and you can really taste the land from the 1st class meat selection. The fruit and vegetables are very tasty and the ethics of Whitmuir the Organic place are second to none........thank you Heather we look forward to treating ourselves again soon. Lots of love xx.....( keep boogieing All Night Long to Lionel ;)

Loved the organic feel and fairy walk (As did my son). Really enjoyed the food I bought from the organic market and the resturant but still have some research to do on the meat before that extra star is given and I start ordering my food from their online supermarket.

We have eaten and shopped here many times. The food in the restaurant tastes amazing, even the simplest plate of bacon, eggs and tomatoes is fantastic. The fresh veg in the shop is delicious and worth the price. You can spend hours exploring the surrounding land and the plant nursery. We'll certainly be back, as often as we can..
