Deer Park Beefeater in West Lothian

Called in on the way back from Glasgow and had a really excellent meal. The chicken and rib combo was so tasty and the caramel apple betty with custard a great dessert. Add in lovely staff and you end up with a really great experience.

Nice restaurant area. Foods ok. Typical beefeater fare. Service always good. I use this for business as it adjoins M8 jctn 3. Perfect for my needs.

Given menus by the server, then when tried to order were asked "where did we get them from, did we bring them in ". No Onion rings with steak, asked if still got comp side salad, told they would bring one, but we're charged £3.50. Ordered children's ice cream. Said didn't want choc flake, but raspberry sauce, came with flake no sauce

The beefeater has truthfully been my best experience of fantastic customer service and also such friendly helpful staff in my 5 night stay who go the extra mile to make your stay whilst working away from home much more pleasurable, prompt service and you personally feel looked after,supurb and well deserved 5 star treatment..

While the waitress was pleasant and polite, she was also forgetful. Ordered a drink and, as we were sat near the bar, I could see it was still there ten minutes later. I had to ask her if the drink was coming. Later, we were asked if we would like to see the desserts menu. That just never arrived. We ordered the kids dessert for my daughter and then asked for the bill.The menu has also changed dramatically and not for the better. Less choice than before. The glazed BBQ ribs were dry with small splodges of BBQ sauce on it.All in all, it was 90 minutes for a single course. I doubt we will be back.

Was at Deer Park Beefeater last night. Haven’t been for a few years. It has gone downhill massively. Food was ok. Pub grub at restaurant prices! Expected high end food that I’ve had in there before. I could of had a better meal at my local pub for half the price. Surf and turf came with 2 of the smallest king prawns I’ve seen. I got this before in there and I got 3 massive fresh prawns. I was very disappointed. Also where I was sat was very cold with draft coming in the door. Ended up putting my jacket back on. It was my 20th wedding anniversary. Things have definitely went downhill since my last visit. So sad.

While their breakfast menu states it is unlimited it would appear the wait staff is trained better on techniques to ignore customers than to provide good service. I do not advocate waste but ordering a lesser amount of your favourite breakfast items an then following up with a second order is a losing proposition. It seems like Beefeater want you to intentionally over order with the likelihood of leaving food on your plate.

Good food. They have an outside seating area which is handy if you're a dog owner. Ordered a burger and a mixed grill. Good portions.
