Visited last ngt. Went on a recommendation.Felt very disappointed.Dated decor, bit grubby. My fish sizzler was very overcooked and surrounded by raw onion which was horrible with fish! And thick brown spicy sauce came with it. This was inedibleStaff were rushing around , seemed bit frantic.I've eaten many Indian meals but this must be the worst I've had.Pity as with a little organisation could be a lot better.I'm not sure I would go back.

Sunday night treat, food was a little late to start with but very tasty when it arrived, staff were very friendly and attentive, and popped over for a chat to ask if everything was ok. take away also looked very busy so that’s maybe why the food took a little longer to arrive, will definitely be back, and would like to try out the buffet when it comes back

Really poor, the last 3 orders I made via just eat was late but not just 15min no no I'm talking well above 1hr late, spoke to the indian man didn't even listen or apologise. never ever again. Would rate no star if that was possible.

Ordered online. Arrived to pick up, still waiting half an hour later. Can't find the order. Back to the Ashman in future. No idea what it tastes like, feeling a chippie coming on.Slight update, the person who made the online order had put some one else's name on it, still it shouldn't have taken 35 minutes to figure that out.BUT the food is really excellent.I'm putting it down to the place bring incredibly busy with not enough staff, so worth another go, may be just not on a Saturday night.

Booked a table for one at 5:30pm this Saturday night. Just myself looking for good grub without any fuss. Came here specifically because they advertised masala dosa - yum! Then disappointingly got told they've temporarily stopped doing it. But that's OK, I will just spend a bit more time to decide what I want to order, (except they pried me 3 times for my order within the first few minutes of being seated). The guy (presumably the manager), seemed very rushed. Which is understandable since its a busy Saturday night. But it has come across rather rude. Not a single greeting. Flat and muted tone. Slammed a plate right in front of me when I was served my meal. I heard the table sitting next to me whispering "he's a bit abrupt ain't he?!" - yes he was! He then goes round greeting other tables asking "how is your food? Would you like another drink?" while completely ignoring me. Food was just OK. Nothing to shout about. I have a suspicion this place doesn't like single cover bookings dining by themselves (lower profitability and not worth the hassle). If you don't value my business then don't take my booking in the first place. I was in and out of there within 50mins, (15 minutes was spent on waiting for them to get me my bill). Gave me the wrong bill the first time round, then had to wait around for them to fix it. I am still not convinced that I have been charged the correct amount on the second bill either, but I just paid it anyway as I was desperate to get out of there (£18.15 for a Pepsi, Chicken 65, a pilau rice with my chicken tikka masala??? I worked it out to be £16.30). Staff need to get their acts together. Won't be back.NB: Serving 5 tubs of sauces with just one stingy poppadom is a bit disproportionate. What a waste of sauces/food.

During the summer we ordered a takeaway from this restaurant and were most impressed with the quality of food. This evening we visited the restaurant and were astounded at the quality of every course that we ordered, who the chef is we don’t know but the cooking of great quality food is absolutely outstanding. All at our table love Indian food not one of us has been served this unique quality and taste, all of us would most highly recommend this restaurant. As for the staff and service, excellent, attentive but not intrusive, more than happy to explain contents of meals.Absolutely wonderful midweek evening out, wine list average but Pinot Grigio was lovely.

First ever visit. Was very impressed with the actual layout of the restaurant and spotlessly clean. Made very welcome by the lady working there . Food was excellent. Really tasty. Will definitely be going back!

Ambience is good, food quality, quantity is very sufficient. After a long time tasting an Indian food in a hotel is an absolute delight.Special mention - big credits to Rahman, very friendly accommodative staff to all nationalities served very well. Love different sauces served with papodams. I will visit again and recommend friends to visit.

Absolutely love this restaurant. They also do takeaway. They have always been very accommodating about customising meals. We've tried Lamb Dhansak, Chicken Chettanadu, Rogan Josh, Daal Makhani, but we come coming back time and time again to the Butter Chicken, it's hands down the best curry I've had in years. We've had both lunch and dinners in the restaurants, as well as takeaways and it's been brilliant every time. They were also one of the only places open during The Beast from the East! We happily put our boots on and had a great meal there, worth the snow.
