Dobbies Garden World Livingston, Livingston in West Lothian

I had a large order of planters and plants to get from this Dobbies store as part of a business purchase and all the staff I dealt with were brilliant. Helping collect all of the items I required and load them into the vehicle for me. Rachel in plants was wonderful, can't recommned her highly enough!

Visited recently with our grandson,the restaurant has definitely gone down in our view, dirty trays dirty tables and poor selection of cakes ,what we did have was not their usual standard,on visiting the ladies toilet was really put off , obviously had not been checked for some time,, will not return any time soon!

Brilliant garden centre for all your indoor and outdoor needs plus homeware,kitchen and decorative products. Restaurant serves nice scones and cakes and also caters full breakfasts and lunches 🍴.Always worth a visit🌝. Excellent selection young plants now in stock for spring planting (when the frosts finally stop 👺).

Impression was of a top quality store , entire store seemed much improved!In the restaurant we were very impressed with the man clearing and cleaning tables. He did not cut corners, it was so reassuring to see someone taking care to clean both tables and chairs thoroughly.5 stars to the man cleaning !Will definitely be back to both store and restaurant.

Not been to Dobbies for a few years, so on recent visit to Scotland my friend and I decided to have lunch there. I went to the toilet first, and was disgusted by the state of the place. Toilet paper strewn on the floor, one toilet seat had poo on it. An overall feeling of neglect.When I returned to the food counter, there was no food set out, it was as if the cafe was closed. One girl was setting out 2 toasties on a hotplate, don’t know if these were for sale or for a customer. She final came over, no apology for us having to wait, or even asked us what we would like to order. Just looked up at us. I told her firstly that the toilets were filthy, her response was ‘tell customer service’ Wasn’t interested. So we decided to leave. We chatted to a lovely lady at customer service, who took on board our concerns. She told us that Dobbies has been taken over and obviously there are teething problems, but that was no excuse for our concerns. Hopefully the management do something about the place and it’s problems. However it will be a while before I will visit again. We visited a nearby garden centre for food, and it was 100% better, cleaner, welcoming friendly staff. They will have our business from now on. Such a shame Dobbies has went so far downhill.

Overal well presented shop, prices throughout are just stupid tho and majority of stuff isn’t deserving of the price tag, as for the cafe it is a joke, wait that long your food is cold, staff are horizontal, no motivation no interest, 2 coffee’s a carton juice and two mains ‘Mac n chips n pie n chips’ 28.60 get a grip! Your hardly Michelin star rated, McDonald’s foods better than this and fraction of the price,

The store is dogfriendly and in the dining area. Cancelled my direct debit membership as I haven't enjoyed the coffee here for so long. Oat milk seldom frothed up even in cappucino. Suggestion.. barista oatmilk froths up.

I received amazing customer service from a young girl in the soft play - she was very efficient and quick with her service - I asked for her name and I believe it was Beth - just want to say she is brilliant and allowed me and my family to have a great dobbies experience

Huge place, helpful staff with a variety of plants. Cafe was busy but we didn't need to wait long at all. My plant had bugs and when I realized they immediately got someone to swap it for me. Will be back!
