Gerry's Takeaway in West Lothian

I usually come to this chippy frequently and think their stuff is lovely. However tonight I was served by the blonde woman who wears glasses and is usually on FOH. She was extremely rude when serving the food when I asked for paper in between the chips and sausage and rolled her eyes at me and was mouthing stuff under her breath . She also huffed her breath. I will not be returning.

The chips were cold and dry. The curry sauce i wouldnt even call it that as it was more like water as it was tasteless.

Good food, friendly staff and generaly fast service. Be aware there is a charge when you pay by card so take cash if possible 😉

Received my delivery, very disappointed as the batter was like trying to chew through rubber..Upon phoning, I was informed it was freshly made, also there was nothing they could do...I wasn't wanting a freebie, but a little customer service would have been nice....I order this every time and the batter is usually amazingly crispy, so not happy....one way to lose custom...

Came here years ago and enjoyed the food so came back as I was in the area. Still great food. Very clean and modern, and well thought out corporate image. Great chippy 👍

I have always been really impressed with Gerrys speed of service and usually always happy with the quality of food. However on my last 2 occasions of ordering I have had to phone to chase the order. The first time after an hour the order was on it's way. Tonight I waited for an hour and 10 mins before I phoned to be told that it would be another half hour for a pie supper and bag of chips. Come on guys what is going on! I therefore cancelled only to be told it would be 7 to 10 days before my card would be refunded. Not impressed..I'm afraid you may have just lost a customer ☹.

Just got 2 king rib suppers deliverd and they were terrible, straight in the bin. Very poor looks like i need to find new chippy.

Fish was OK, not that great. Had chicken which was nice. Chicken tikka was also good. Just a little bit on the expensive side. But had a good selection and I can definitely visit again...

I have not been too Gerry's in a while and now I remember why, ordered 3 rolls only received one and we ordered french fries and cheese your lucky if a quarter of the chips had cheese on them. For the prices they charge it should be perfect quality and consistency

Very good fish and chips! 🙂 But ...Recently I ordered ribs and spring rolls and I was very disappointed. Ribs are not ribs, but minced meat in batter. Spring Rolls is a rolled-up pancake stuffed with some cabbage stuffing. I am so disappointed 😕Money badly spent
