Enjoyed the food. Staff seemed over worked and a bit stressed. Took over 30mins once seated to get attention (had to seek it). However once the food came out was very good.

Don't stay in livingston . So first time getting food from here. Must say I really enjoyed it and would recommend

Food was plentiful however both times I have been the service was rushed. My 1st visit my main arrived when I was half way through the starter. 2nd visit my I had just taken my last mouthful of pasta and my plate was away and the dessert menu was there within a minute.Please allow people to relax and take their time over the food.

Booked for valentine's,got there and waited 25mins for them to offer us a drink,then waited another 10 mins for the drinks.20 mins later got to order our food,starter was ok as it was pate,main was steak which was like a cheep dried up burger (frying steak)no fries or veg just a steak on a plate,asked the wareabouts of the chips/veg,got handed a plate of white chips(obviously frozen) never received veg.valentine's ruined,would never go back,the place is a joke.wouldve gave zero stars but no option to do so

Always have a lovely time here. Go hungry as portions are generous. Lovely staff, and food and drinks are served in a timely manner.

we went here on Friday night for a meal and will never be backour waitress was absolutely vile such a disgusting women her attitude was horrible blonde hair and a white topAfter we were seated and got out drinks she was over and very rudely saying we only booked for two people it was three we booked for I had the email confirmationshe was snide correcting us as we spoke,she said they didn't do scallops and white wine sauce until we pointed it out on the menuwe wanted the chateaubriand to be abruptly told no we don't do that it needs marinated and he's not got time needs 24 hour notice - nothing on the menu or website to say thiswe never complained just picked a main course I wasn't even finished speaking and she's abruptly shouts menus ! at us and took the menus awaythe food was bland and very basicthe chef needs to make more of an effort with his cooking we could have done a better job at homethe waitress needs to retrain in customer service or see a doctor it's not normal to be that aggressiveIf you are in the area visit the bankton House hotel were staff are lovely and provide a professional service

Service from one waitress was appalling. Uninterested, rude, and incapable of the slightest of smiles. Starters we found bland, mains decent enough. Given service will not be returning.

Had a meal with my partner. We had mushrooms and calamari to start, the calamari was chewy and the tartare sauce that came with it tasted straight from a jar, the mushrooms were fine but served with bread that would get you a slap in the face in Italy.Onto the mains we had pizzas. The pizza were overall OK, delicious sauce and lovely toppings but the base was burnt in spots and was extremely chewy in other spots, how they managed this boggles my mind.Didn’t stay for dessert because the wait staff were really disorganised and acted like they did not want us to be there. For the record there were only 3 tables in and it was early, the staff spent more time on their phones than tending to the tables. Very disappointing. As locals we won’t be back and will not recommend to others in the area.Half way through the meal the album finished on the sound system and the other couple and us who were left felt uncomfortable talking as it was so quiet without any atmosphere.Little things make a difference and the staff did not pay attention at all. While I’m mentioning minor details, I had to ask for cutlery for to eat my food lol and I also had to ask for a napkin after the cutlery was grudgingly given.

Average food, rude waitress. The new premises were lovely. We had enormous starters of calamari which was chewy and haggis which was cold. The mains were very nice, I had spaghetti and my husband had lasagne. Our experience was ruined by the rude waitress who's manner should not be anywhere near the hospitality industry.

Welcoming and friendly with an extensive menu. So much to choose from and the portions were very generous. I had the carpaccio and veal t-bone and they were outstanding. My husband had the chicken wings and seafood stew which was filled with monkfish, mussels, squid, prawns and class. Lovely cocktails as well. It is pricey for Livingston but most definitely worth it!
