Merdo's Fish Bar in West Lothian

Fantastic fish n chips. Crispy batter, delicious fish. A big portion of real chips. A little light on the salt n vinegar, but this didn't detract.

Normally pop in or order by phone this time ordered for collection. Disappointed when I got it home because if I order by the other ways I get the three dressings this time only one. Also pitta bread is a bit soggier as it is in with the salad. It would be helpful if you could add a note when placing an order

They have always treated me with respect across the phone line and my orders have always arrived intact and as tasty as I could imagine. I highly recommended the kofte kebab or lamb sheesh kebab, don’t be surprised to find a few fries tossed in for good measure. The create your own pizza option has also allowed me to get the pizza I want. Top shop!

Ordered the fish supper. N was pleasantly surprised how fast the delivery was.as I stayed at the lodge. Only stayed here 1 nyt but if I'm bk again which will b soon.i defo use this shop. Fish was really good as well as the chips

Ordered direct by phoning in. Have used them a couple of times before. I'm a bit fussy but give top marks to Merdos. Food always piping hot. My only complaint...fish supper MASSIVE. Would highly recommend.

Merdos has gone downhill over the last few months. Used to get a wee sauce along with 16" pizzas nothing now.Got a king rib supper delivered, half a portion of chips and a rubbery king rib (batter was greasy and hard). Disappointing as used to be a good chippy. Pull your socks up Merdos!.

Worst kebab meat I've ever had!! Since when is kebab meat crispy got a combination kebab with chicken small portion size for the price you pay! I'd avoid this place!

Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time and I’m really fussy, will definitely be going back.

If I could I'd rate this pizza no stars. The quality has gone downhill dramatically. Tasteless and zero salt. Garlic pizza had zero taste of garlic and cheese and tomato pizza had a pink colour to the tomato. I wont order from here again . :(

1 star is far generous..staying in the local Travelodge and being out of the area were in that position where we chose to use these for an evening take out delivered to the door.Food arrived within 10 minutes ..lamb kebab and pizza.Gave a tip to the driver for the speedy delivery.Opened the container of the kebab and the smell was horrendous.. it had gone off!! ..called them back to collect and refund and the reply was..sorry dont understand ?? Its easy..its off I want my money back !! ..sorry we close now..its 10.30pm ..drive down to the shop.. closed and locked up... absolute scammers and the food is not for for human consumption..stunk the room out..asked the reception at the lodge to have a smell and they were embarrassed asking me to take it out of the area as it smelt putrid ! Dont buy from here ..absolute scammers and using foul meat
