Orient Japanese & Chinese Restaurant in West Lothian

For the past couple of years or so, Orient has been our "go to" for Chinese food.A few weeks ago, we ordered sweet n sour chicken, the sauce was spicy. Thought it was my daughter being fussy, but it had some heat in it!Thought it was a mistake, but we'd waited ages for it so I gave her some of my dinner.Ordered sweet n sour for myself tonight and again, it's got a proper kick to it. It's never been like that in the past and with fussy kids (who previously loved this dish!) we're going to have to rethink where we order from.Food just hasn't been the same, don't know if it's a new chef or different ingredients, but it's really put me off now

Absolutely amazing!Great service and amazing food.always so quick and piping hot.Have no idea what the reviews are about.Highly recommending this place is a huge understatement.

Dont thinj ill be using again. Service and food has went way downhill. And you probably owe me about a tenner for all the bags of prawn crackers you alwaus forget to deliver.

Absolutely disgusting... chips I could scrape the ice of my car and the chicken well was sour slimmy and just rotten.. as for the ham well rubber bullets would be better.Disappointed is an understatement and will never use again..

always get my Chinese food here, food is great but wont be back after the £6 delivery charge on Xmas eve.

The food is lovely from here. The only thing that stops me from giving the 5th star is they are very good at forgetting parts of your meal. Happened a few times. Didn't call up this time because by time they brought it too us the rest would be cold so i gave my son mines and made pizza for myself. Also the delivery times are very long 2 hrs wait

Loved it. Salt and spicy chip are the best and the chicken balls were really fresh. Honestly would have put pictures up but I tanked it all that quick lol.

Worst experience in 20 years!Food came 2.5 hours after order. I had phoned up several times only to have the call declined or ignored.Eventually after I’d already broken out and eaten the frozen pizza, it arrived. (Past 11.30pm)The entire order had been microwaved in the bag it was delivered in and the polystyrene boxes had melted onto the food; leaving it all tasting like plastic and it was binned. Another of the boxes had burst open and the sauce spilled out.Delivering microwaved junk so long after the order had been placed is a waste of time, doesn’t matter how busy you are.Don’t waste your money hereMy previous review: 5/5Orients food and delivery time is always top notch, even with the ongoing virus causing their orders to increase, I would imagine. Not a bad experience with the place.

Well what can we say ? Best food ever . My daughter recommended here and so very glad she did . My fiancé and myself have had various different meals from here and every single one has been really delicious, delivery been great , food lovely and hot and they cook to perfection. Will be getting lots of meals from here . One final thing to add - their telephone manner is great too . Lovely staff lovely food go on try it you will not regret it . 100% recommended:)
