First time but certainly not the last. Good friendly service and excellent food. Reasonably priced and very good value. Loved it.

Great service, lovely food, staff were friendly and it was very clean. Will definitely re visit, hopefully on a sunny day so we can sit outside.

Not been in for as both my father and I worked out, five years due to family medical reasons and bereavements.I like my father can still mind when that used to be a barns from the times before the barges started using the canal and that platform put there.But really, it's nice to see the barn getting used again, and with the easy parking outside the place too with disabled space, and fenced in, . You can sit in or out,I will admit, as like my father said today when we where in, you can see in the last five year, some of the internal changes made, like the kids play area that used to be just in area down from the conviences is now wee seating extension to restaurant.Still could do with hand rails on the four steps up to the seating area at the top end the barn for health and safety reasons for them that not got good sense balance ( i.e. DISABLED or arthritis problems)But after bothy father and I trying to make our minds up to where we fancied going for lunch. (the own cage by Linlithgow hospital in town on way through, or The Park Bistro which I am almost sure used to be called the Waterside Bistro or Tesco's at Musselburgh on way back home from paying our respects at Maddiston/ Falkirk.But we decided when we got near and saw it was not crowded, and talking of what we fancied in the car. To pop in and we both had what we said we fancied from the canal basin heading towards here and we both had the steak pie seasonal vegetables and farm house fries/ stake house chips and drink ( table 4 at window just under the stage,) and we both enjoyed it with good amount of steak in gravy to the steak pie, and the beg done aldanty, ( cold but still crunch to it)Was not bad price wise either, as with leaving 15% tip in the tips tin, it was in total with tip, leat than £40, (£20 each)And you were checked on about five minutes after getting your meal, to if everything was Okay, and did we want our drinks topped up.I know we had not booked in in advance, but we walked in and male assistant come and asked if it was table for two "yes" asked us to wait moment, as was in procedure of sterlising the tables and chairs, but if you go to the waiting area, I'll call you and then took a name which gave family name.Five minutes and was shown to our table, then lassie come took drinks order, and upon her return, as we both knew what we fancied before going in, took that.

Five stars for me! Service was lovely and friendly. The highland burger was amazing and tasted sooo good!! Lovely cozy place to enjoy good food with family and friends!

Really nice restaurant with good parking facilities and disabled access. Good for the whole family.The food is fresh prepared, flavoursome and well presented. Not expensive and the service was great. I do recommend giving it a try if you are in the area.

First time visiting. The food was delicious. We had the Buffalo chicken burger and the classic burger with a side of classic fries. Loved them! So tasty. and well seasoned. Is it wrong that we are already thinking about our next visit and what we will have!? Great prices too and very welcoming friendly efficient staff. Thank you!

Delicious food. Lamb burger was gorgeous. The new York bagel was divine. The truffle fries and buffalo fries also fantastic. Recommended this place highly. Lovely location, staff are great too. Very friendly. Absolutely will be back.

Courteous and friendly service. Covid-19 compliant and very well managed. Great location next to Union Canal and small bridge. Looks to be a good selection of burgers on the menu. We will be back to try their burgers which looked fantastic! For our visit, we were just looking for some hot drinks and something sweet. We had the deluxe hot chocolate (with marshmallows and flake) and a cappuccino with some muffins. Delicious!
