Valente's Fish & Chip Shop in West Lothian

Food is always fresh .. always get a jumbo haggis supper and my partner gets a steak pie.. the other night their we got a delivery and I always ask for salt and alot of sauce on my supper but when it was delivered there was nothing on it.. I phoned up and kindly they offered me another meal with salt and sauce which was great.. I also asked them to give me a bottle of their sauce which you can buy from them for just £3.. the 2nd delivery was here before my partner had even finished her meal.. will always get from here great service

I just got a delivery and first its was so quickly delivered and the fried pizza was so fresh and pizza was so soft also i asked for a cold bottle of juice and nornally when u ask for tht its not often to receive wat u ask but yip sure thing this delivery im rating a 100 outa 10 and im not joking gerrys its out the window for ne now sat 24 july 21

Waited 1 hour 45 mins for order to get to me! was only a fish supper,had to put in microwave to heat as was cold then when started eating the fish was full of bones, was worst fish supper ever had, had to call them to see where food was even tho was with driver still was another 25 mins to get to me ended up in the bin and I had a pot noodle great thanks

The best chippy in Bathgate, maybe even West Lothian, certainly the best I’ve ever had. Lovely Italian family run the shop, never had any problems with orders or customer service in the 6-7 years that I’ve been a customer. Prices are great and you certainly don’t get small portions, you’ll be full and satisfied after your meal from Valente’s!5 STAR establishment!!

Sorry this is for the wee Valente carry out Chippy in George Place Bathgate.The food is usually tasty and fresh no problem there but I have to downgrade them because they are failing to keep customers safe. Even although I arrived fully masked and obeyed the 2 only into shop other customers didnt have a mask and were not asked to wear one as well as the fact that no one monitors how many are coming in so I found myself in the shop today with more than 1 other customer and more than 1 had no mask. It's a small shop you cant keep 6ft apart!!! Also and this is the biggie for me but the none of the staff had masks on whilst preparing and serving food. Come on!!!No wonder the coronavirus is spreading quickly in this area with people just ignoring government guidelines to keep people (customers) safe!!!!

Three hours to get a delivery. I thought I had ordered a breakfast i stay in Blackburn two and a half miles from shop . Not Blackburn in Lancashire never use the shop again.

Really disappointed with my order last night. How hard is it to serve hot food ? Piping hot steak pie served with chips ( warm at best ) obviously been lying for ages.I wouldn't entertain this place, the competition around is so much better.

Best fish & chip shop in Bathgate, West Lothian in fact. Everything cooked fresh, not lying in glass cabinets for hours until it becomes inedible. Their fish is especially good, highly recommended.. I live in the Scottish Borders but I visit friends often and and Valentes is always on my list of places to visit. Family run business, great people. Well worth a visit.. RECOMMENDED

Totally amazing Haddock and Chips and Haggis Fritters (and a Potato Fritter) - first time in Scotland at a Scottish chippie and fabulous place lots to choose from and it was the right amount of food, with the right amount of grease.Only downside - as a Londoner I wanted Mayonaise, but they didn't have any - but I didn't miss it in the end.Chips made a fabulous chip butty.
