Above all the service was exceptionally bad. From the no existent welcome, showing us to our table by pointing at it, to not being offered drinks, to having to go take a drinks menu from another table, to then having to get up to ask for a drink! The staff very very inattentive - any interactions felt almost catatonic. The food was just ok, very under seasoned, very small ungenerous portions. Happy to pay the prices set but the food just didn’t live up to it.

The food here is incredible. Each dish is carefully crafted and the flavours are all so well balanced! We will definitely be returning :)

Poor experience here today and was the second time I had visited following my initial disappointing visit. My first time here was for dinner and while I enjoyed the mains, unfortunately found a hair in my dessert. When I told the server they told me this was impossible as all the waiters are bald. Tone implied it was my fault. Instead of removing the cost of the dessert from the bill the price of a coffee was taken off. Not adequate compensation in my books. Today however was truly lacking in all areas of customer service and experience. Arriving before the brunch rush we were seated by a flustered host who took 10 minutes to provide us with menus. A further 20 minute wait following ordering for coffees to arrive to then be presented with the worst pancakes of all time. I didn't think it was possible for pancakes to be both raw and overcooked, however was proven wrong today. I must commend the copy writer who came up with the menu, their descriptions of the food on offer were so far from what was presented. I'd like to note that the table behind us had the same problem and all of us left without eating and sent food away.

Thought the ambiance is good. It is ambitious and new. Limited range of beers. Limited and bland vegan options. Had the sweet potato option. Most expensive vegan option as one of my plates. Was disinterest ING and small portion for the price. Might go back if menu improves.

If I was to sum up in 1 word it would be: don'tWhile it is small plates and the meat was of a good quality, there was absolutely no taste or flavour to each dish. Also, given the size of tables, use much more smaller dishes. All for supporting small and new businesses in the local area but this was a disappointment.

Went in for brunch and it was pretty packed. Ordered the smashed avocado which was brilliant but a little small on the portion size. Also the biscoff pancakes which were delicious.

Decent, and a good night out, but when you're encouraging six dishes of your small plates between two, we need bigger tables! Food was tasty, dont get me wrong the chef clearly knows his stuff, but always got the feeling that whatever had been added last needed to come off (random edible flowers, anyone?).The decor is good, but we were sat right by the door on a chilly November evening and not entirely comfortable. Waiting staff great. Welcoming & attentive without being overbearing!

We went in for brunch and had the smashed avocado with poached eggs. Your using that bottled stuff for your avocado with way too much Xanthan Gum in it. Just looks like a green buttery type spread. Tastes like what plasticine would taste like. Seen few others mentioning this also in the past.Shame as everything else was top drawer and will be back for couple drinks.

Had dinner at Oscar last night with friends. I follow a plant based diet and had food off the dedicated vegan menu. It did not disappoint! I had the gnocchi, and the humous with flatbread, and was thoroughly full afterwards. Recommend booking ahead - it was a Tuesday night and we got the only free table when we walked in, it is proving very popular!

Three of us had a wonderful brunch before heading for a weekend walking in The Highlands. Top spot, friendly staff, good quality ingredients and great coffee.
