Toby Carvery in East Renfrewshire

Had the carvery. Food was very nice and there was a great selection available. Food service was very good. Place was let down by the fact that the free refills were only available for one drink then it ran out. When we asked for an alternative we were told there was not one we would have to buy other drinks. We understood when we ordered refills that would be available to us. Had we known that it would become unavailable we would have ordered something else. I asked what our options were and the staff member told me to buy more drinks. I was not looking for a full glass of juice and was not going to buy one to waste it. The staff were not very helpful with this considering there were so many of us and we had spent a good few hundred pounds in their restaurant. I fully understand when a place is busy staff are under pressure. However we watched as folk were taken to sit for their meals at tables that were already occupied. Had to queue for the carvery waited for about 40 minutes in line. Did not have to queue at door as we had already booked the table.

Carvery was great and all! But very limited choice my little brother is a very picky eater and there was no chips so he only had chicken nuggets. overall I give a 3 star.

Great service. Carvery meats good but other items not kept warm enough and served on stone cold plates. Cauliflower very undercooked due to florets being too variable in size so thick stems impossible to cut with a table knife. Foot long Pig Dog hot dog very nice.Warning - house salad is a joke as it is tiny for £5.99! Deserts under whelming for around £4.50 a go. Custard watery and under sweetened. Overall we used it twice for convenience but would avoid all Toby Carvery outlets given a choice. Must say again that service was 5 star.

LOVED IT! Great really friendly and helpful staff and excellent food piled as high as you like on your choice of plate size! Even have a Veggie Bake that my vegetarian sister says is yummy - bit ironic😂a vegetarian dining at a Carvery but she left as stuffed full as the rest of us without compromising her meat-free diet! Great value for money - highly recommend it... you get refills of your soft drinks as many as you like too! GREAT!!

Carvery. All the food was lukewarm at best. Some was actually cold. Most of the veg dishes were almost full when we were there so they must have come that temperature from the kitchen. Hugely disappointing.

Cannot go wrong with a carvery. Big yorkshire puddings, and plenty of veg to pick from. Our waiting staff were very pleasant and cannot fault them. No pepsi max and wish they had the pork crackling again.

Brilliant food and nice place was so busy and a short wait for the food but once you get to the carvery it was all worth it, topped off by great service from a lovely woman called Joanne who was great!

always a good quality meal, you get to choose what you like. there can be a wait in the queue to be served your meat, but hey ho it happens. staff are great, chat to them, they are good people. all this and wine for about £20 a head. we have booked for boxing day because its so relaxed and fun.

Most enjoyable. Ideal place to eat if your staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door. Excellent Carvery, terrific value for money, lovely staff who are very engaging.
