The environment and service was good. Starters were excellent but the main course was not what it used to be. The quality was much better before of the main course. Ordered mango lassie which tasted bitter most probably because of the yogurt or it was made few days before. Bit of attention towards the food quality would make the experience for people dining in much better.

As a self proclaimed indian cuisine expert, I can't help but validate the dining experience I had at Akbar's. I went with a lot of my friends so I got to taste different kinds of dishes. All of them had exquisite taste. The restaurant was spacious and had a classy ambience. 10/10 will go again

I wouldn’t recommend since prices have been raised nearly 40% on various items. They have risen the prices but the quality has drastically fallen and the food doesn’t even seem worthy to be edible anymore. Quality used to be good but has gotten worse and worse and to raise prices and make the food even worse is disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this compared to others and would probably go elsewhere before considering coming back here. Not worth the visit at all.

Great food, good quantity and good service. The naan is provided in a stand with spikes on it which was intriguing but kinda difficult to eat. Chicken and prawns curry was awesome. The restaurant has ample seating available but gets filled soon in the evening.

The food was delicious. But our waitress Anusha was absolutely amazing, so helpful, attentive and on the ball. I thought she was wasted there and guess what she is doingHer masters in Artificial intelligence

Akbar's is known to be the best in GlasgowI wasn't satisfied with this statementIt being December it was busy with Christmas parties maybe a bit too busyI was seated at the back of the restaurantMy order wasFish pakora very goodLamb chops very goodChicken tikka very goodLamb karahi a bit undercookedChicken karahi goodHakeem wasn't the right colour a bit yellow should be more brown however taste was good. With handful of nansThe problem was the slow service which made the food go cold. And with the Christmas parties there a load of noise and the restaurant was full.

Very exorbitant prices for the kind of dishes they are, apart from that I asked the chef's challenge number 2 which contained a super spicy meat with an ice cream and "if I finished it" they gave me a certificate in the restaurant for finishing the dish and a gift . They did not have those certificates left and when I asked for my gift they brought me a roll of industrial toilet paper because they did not have any gifts left either, it seemed an incredible lack of respect, they could have warned before ordering the plate that they were not going to be able to comply with all the details and not come with other things to make fun of the client ...

Delicious chicken tikka masala, however, it is unusual that the main dish does not include rice or naan, these have to be ordered separately. The waiter who served us was very friendly and polite. You need to book a table before arriving.

Located in a nice area of Glasgow, decor and vibe inside is really nice. The seating could be spread out more. We were a large group and they had squeezed the chairs around the long table so much that the chairs were literally touching. Not a lot of arm space to eat comfortably. Tables also were far too small to fit the dinner plates, drinks and food.Food was a bit average, not bad but not amazing either. The trademark huge naans on the stand were just too big on the small tables and were more like covid barriers with the person next to you LOL
