Ashoka Ashton Lane in Glasgow City

Popped in on a busy night, and hadn't booked,still managed to accommodate us for a limited table time, which was excellent. Food was first class and staff were excellent with a bit of banter as well. Great experience.

How is it that we have the best Indian food in different countries then our own!? We have plenty of Indian restaurants but it’s not the same. On our visit to Glasgow, one of our friends recommended this restaurant. And it did not disappoint! The flavours were phenomenal! Loved the naan with cilantro (coriander)and Garlic!! Portions were good, and pretty good value for your money, well I mean if your actual currency is in pounds and not in CAD haha. The staff were pleasant, we really enjoyed our meal. This was the first time trying Ashoka, as per the suggestion of an Indian friend. The food was amazing, good quality. The portions are on the good side, especially when paired with rice. Would definitely come back another time!

Went here without much expectations. The good was pretty great and the we were happy all that we ordered. The quality was pretty impressive.The quantity was but small for mains. Expected more.

We ve been to this place probably 5-6 times. The food is getting more and more spicy! You cant enjoy it, taste the actual flavours. How come mushroom bhaji, rice and aloo chana is literally so spicy! Service needs to chill out as well. Constantly asking, cleaning tables, clearly doing what manager wants them to do which is too much

One of my. Favourite restaurants of all time. Really fragrant food and if you get in before 5 they do small. Plates for a taste of all. Great people.

I visited Ashoka on Ashton lane tonight for the first time in many years and I can honestly say I was delighted at how much the place has improved. The food was delicious and bursting bursting with flavour. The atmosphere was also fab and the staff provided an excellent friendly service. Definitely adding Ashoka to my favourite restaurants.

We just popped in without booking. As it was early evening we were in luck! Excellent food. Attentive staff. Way above the average meal. Arrived at the table piping hot! Will definitely be back next time we're in Glasgow...
