I think the food here is, on average, pretty good, but a handful of things are genuinely exceptional. This five star rating is intended to apply to those things which are now staples. These outstanding things are, in my experience, in descending order of quality:- the tarka dal (seriously, this is a cut above any other tarka dal i've ever had, and I have had a lot of it, and it is also vegan)- the pakora. In general this place does, imo, the best pakora in town. The vegetable and mushroom varities are particularly top. They also have some interesting ones such as spinach and jalapeno, and hot and sour.- the naan. The garlic and coriander, garlic chilli and the peshwari are top-drawer naans and good portion sizes too.I have no experience of the issues that others describe in these reviews (long wait times, sometimes burnt/overcooked food and unpleasant interactions staff). My positive experiences may be an artifact of the fact I only go there and collect stuff in person, and eat from a limited portion of the menu since i'm vegan.

The food is usually very good but for some reason ordered lastnight and it was very bad! Ordered special fish and chips and was very overcooked! Ordered prawn korma and Vegetable pakora also can of pepsi and poppadom and rice.. they didn't deliver the pakora sauce or Pepsi or rice and popadom came out again with the poppadom and can of juice and forgot the rice but by this time I was so tired I could not be bothered with a third call and gave up!.. payed over ÂŁ22 for a very draining experience! ..

Horrific. No seriously, I’m convinced this restaurant is trying to kill its customers with its food. Tried this restaurant twice, both terrible experiences. First time the veggie burger was completely burned black and resembled carbon more than a patty. Also ended up finding an inch long piece of metal wire (looked like it must have been from a pot scourer) in it. Always chew your food carefully folks. But that wasn’t even the worst.Couple years later, possibly worst idea of my life, foolishly decided to give this place another chance as it was the only local Indian takeaway open at the time, so ordered an aloo gobi. When I opened the container containing the curry, to my horror I thought it was covered with broken glass, but on closer inspection I realized there were about 5 large (at least the size of a 50p each) pieces of broken very sharp plastic on top of the meal. If swallowed those pieces could easily sliced someone’s throat open. What’s also strange is that the container itself was perfectly intact and not damaged at all, and the broken bits of plastic looked like they had been placed on top of the curry intentionally. Called the restaurant, owner denied all knowledge, not even an apology, and half heartedly offered a replacement instead of a refund, I said no. Needless to say I threw the entire thing in the bin and was genuinely disturbed. This place should be shut down.

The food is good and the prices are good as well. Staff is very nice and polite now what is good. Recommend it .

Probably the most arrogant staff member/owner I have come across. Phone manners are deplorable. It is quite obvious the man doesn’t enjoy his job and feels like venting on his customers. In all fairness the food is tasty but where do you draw the line. If you can’t be civil with your customers then you don’t deserve any business!( UPDATE ) Staff have turned a new leaf it seems. Superb.

I’m disheartened that just eat have signed this takeaway up to deliver food to an unsuspecting public. The food is not the problem here necessarily however the absolute stinking attitude of the owner really puts you off from giving them any money.I went in and almost slipped on the floor. When I asked the owner nicely to mop the entrance so nobody has an accident he told me my order is cancelled and to go somewhere else.Whoever owns this place should have a word with this guy and give him the sack as he is doing no favours to either himself or his customers.

I had placed an order for 4 curries with rice and nann breads that was paid for and delivered to my home.Order took 1 hour 45 minutes, when we checked the order what we received was not what we ordered.I tried to phone the shop but the guy in the phone got abusive and said that we where lying, he hung up and would not resolve the issue. For ÂŁ72.00 we received 4 orders of large chips and cheese a hamburger & chips (Rustlers typ) and 5 cans of warm juice, someone Definately got the orders wrong.I had to make a claim for my money back. Will not be back here or recommend this take away

Just got my order. After I placed my order I checked the reviews and I have to admit I was terrified especially after paying over 15 for a mixed kabab with the delivery. But to my surprise its actually nice garlic sauce is a let down but apart from that delivery was bang on time and food is good👍

Went in several weeks ago and asked him about allergy information as I am allergic to certain good items. He told me with a straight face of you do t like our food go toMcDonald’s.I was taken aback and shocked at his hostility. He has no place in the food business.

The delivery driver who delivered did not wear a mask nor gloves told me to come out my flat and pick the food up off the street even tho this was a deliver to door service clearly marked also it's the wrong person on the uber eats app saying who is picking up the food and delivering. Other than that three stars the food is quite good the veg and lamb biryani was tasty veg pakora also recommended
