Bar Soba in Glasgow City

Absolutely loved it here and can't wait to go back! The food actually had spice in it, tasted authentic, the portions were MASSIVE, the mocktail was tasty and the service was excellent! I'm salivating just thinking about it. 🤤 We had the Korean fried chicken, red curry and Singapore noodles!

Lunch menu is decent! Staff were a bit disinterested. Don't reckon I'd go back for dinner but definitely absolutely worth going for lunch. Or probably would be good for dinner if you're going for drinks too as they have good cocktails. But there's no real appeal for dinner compared to other places nearby if you're going non alcoholic.

I've been here before several times, food in this restaurant is amazing, so I booked for my friend's birthday yesterday when we arrived at the restaurant our table wasn't ready and they offered another table that we didn't like, we asked for another table, there were few tables ready, they said they can't do it for us as no table is available.On website booking there is no option to choose where you want to sit or the table, we had argument why she(Manager) can't give us other empty table after few minutes nonsense argument she said ok you can have the table you pointed the first time you arrived!! We sat on the table and after a few minutes the staff did this process for other people so easily and they changed 3 tables!!!The staff attitude wasn't polite, especially the manager, music sounds was very high and we couldn't talk to each other, never expected it!!!

Went for a Boozy Brunch with some friends. The food was lovely and there was a great selection of cocktails on the set menu. Excellent value for money!

So disappointed with lunch here. Terrible experience and had to send back the food. Even had the cheek to charge us for a meal that was sent back, which was grudgingly taken off after we mentioned itHave been going to Soba off Buchanan St for years and it’s been superb, tried this one and would never come back based on the small, mismatched portions and hardly any meat with the noodles.No apologies from the manager who clearly didn’t care and the staff seemed to imply it was our issue with the food.Seeing other reviews, I can see we’re not the only ones who have had issues with the portions.Edit based on restaurant comment:We sent back two of the meals and didn’t get a replacement. Therefore we paid for the two replacement meals and didn’t for the two we sent back. We were originally charged for 3 meals until we pointed out that we’d sent two back. So I feel my comments are still fair representation of our experience.

I'd never eaten at Bar Soba before but I'll for sure be back for their boozy brunch - really quick service, good drinks included and the food was amazing (particularly the red thai curry!)

Food and cocktails at Bar Soba are fantastic.The satay sauce is amazing, I would very much recommend the nasi goreng which comes with an egg and it’s perfect.I wanted to mark it down a little as being as I sat outside when you order drinks to the table and it took 25 minutes even though it wasn’t busy.That being said I have been back frequently.

It is a fun spot! Located in Merchant Square, which has several restaurants located around an atrium, the place is lively with a great drinks menu. Their gin and tonic selection is extensive! Great vegetarian Asian food options available. Tasty green curry and pad Thai. The only reason I didn't give it a higher review is that they lost our order from the scanned menu and we were waiting for a long time before they fixed it.

Amazing place! Very comfortable and staff are super friendly and cheerful; really positive vibe. The food was amazing and they also offer great lunch deals. We will definitely be back soon 😊

Chilli and passion fruit margarita is standout. Cheeseburger spring rolls also gorge. Lovely location!
