An excellent experience. Lovely food. Fast and efficient service. On a previous visit I had a bad experience when a heavy base tumbler broke and covered me in drink. I'm glad to see they have changed the glasses/tumblers they use now. Ten out of ten now.

Italian restaurant in Glasgow City centre, about a 2 minute walk from Glasgow Central Station. The food is OK. Had three courses. Went for the Mussels and Calamari to start. Mussels came with white wine and lemon sauce. Calamari with a garlic mayo dip. For mains we both went with pasta. MAFALDE ROSSE which was spicy Nduja sausage. Linguine pasta which was served with a king Prawn, mussels and scallops. For dessert we had a tiramisu to share.

I was there as part of a private dining party, around 30 guests. Firstly, I was impressed by the venue, very nice and a lot bigger than first anticipated. Firstly impressed then throughly let down. Given a drink on arrival, a flat pint of lager which I let slide as thatās the included drink on arrival. Sat down, ordered starters, went for the Italian croquette. It tasted OK but texture wise very mushy and small portion compared to others. The main course is where it went bad, I ordered veal milanse. Tiny cubes of veal milanse without a strand of seasoning accompanied by just as bland risotto, completely tasteless. Only pepper on the table also. Staff nowhere to be seen for at least 15 mins after main served. Dessert average. Wonāt be back. So much better close by for the same or less money. Cheers šš»

Disappointing breakfast at Barolo! The coffee was nice, food was edible, the staff were pleasant, and the place is clean. However, thatās where the positive part of our visit ends⦠it was Ā£8.50 for a small slice of sourdough cut into two with a tiny amount of avocado smushed on them with two cold poached eggs on top served on a wooden plate that was like an old chopping board. The cooked breakfast was Ā£10 with one horrible sausage, cold eggs - it should have been half the price for what was served. The āsourdough toastā was just plain white toast which was cold with ice cold butter portions which were hard to spread- we were not told of the substitution from sourdough either. We did eat all the food as we were hungry, but we did inform the staff at the end and they did nothing - donāt even know if they told the kitchen. I would not recommend this venue, sadly. The french restaurant up the road is much better. Shame, as the decor is nice and itās close to Glasgow Central station.

Delicious food, excellent deals for small plates and the staff are very friendly and attentive without imposing. Highly recommended and we'll be back

Throughly enjoyed an early evening meal here in a busy Friday night. There's something in the menu to suit everyone, I had the Ragu and it was excellent. I was a bit surprised to be able to get a table for two as central Glasgow was very busy, but Barolo's bistro style means quick service - exactly what we needed after our flight was diverted. Had to have a bottle of Barolo under the circumstances and it was just perfect. Great staff, friendly efficient place. Recommended

The food was decent (but not the best), staff were really helpful and nice for the most part. We did get the impression they wanted us to gtfo towards the end of our meal but that's understandable on a Friday night. Best thing about this place was the atmosphere and decor.

Great restaurant! We visited with a friend and we had a great experience.First of all staff was great, that gives you instantly a good vibe.Food wise we tried a couple of starters and two pasta dishes. All were really tasty and fresh. Pasta is handmade so prepare yourselves for a great taste. The menu has many options from starters, pasta, pizza and meat.Prices are normal for the location and the service you get.Highly recommended!
