Bensons in Glasgow City

Amazing food, lots of options, lovely staff. All round great experience.

So my fiance and I went to bensons yesterday, placed our orders but we sat almost 40 mins on our food but just basically because of a receipt mix up so we got our food which was amazing but not only that the manager on shift cleared our bill for us waiting so long so we very very grateful for that gesture.

Great ... This is like an American style bistro and their portions are substantial!! The staff are pretty awesome too. Do order a plate of chips. They were to die for!!

Very uncomfortable set up. Squashed up next to a complete stranger with a bit of perspex separating yous. Omelet tasted like rubber.. could of stayed in and made a better one myself..very disappointed.. live and learn I suppose.

Ordered a hotdog and salt and chilli chips. Opened the hotdog up and it was uneatable, was covered in BBQ sauce the bun was absolutely soaking in sauce. Making it impossible to actually eat. The chips were okay but the hotdog was a joke never bought a hotdog like that before in my life. 2/10

Been here a few times, food is always good and service is quick, a good old style café, portions are large and prices are very reasonable.

This wee cafe is always busy but you never wait long getting served, seated and getting your food! Food is tasty, pricing is great and staff are so friendly. I highly recommend the mac and cheese box ( chicken tenders or mozzarella sticks, chips and bacon bits with a drink! ) Delicious!

I’m new to the area and this is the first place I went. Very welcoming staff, always friendly and always very fast.Fantastic food, I often have to stop myself ordering more because it’s that good.Great atmosphere if a bit busy but that just goes to show how popular they are.All in all, definitely eat here. And don’t miss the tip jar on the way out

Spot on. Lots of staff no queue and it's all open sided so it feels relaxing. Went in with the lads and we had a good gobble. Nothing left on the plates. Not a rip off either.
