Brown Sugar in Glasgow City

We had an amazing brunch! Michael, our server, was very attentive, the bloody Mary was really good (just spicy enough) and the food was filling and tasty! Will definitely be coming back

Bit slow to welcome and seat 2 people on a quiet Wednesday afternoon, but the premises are well appointed and inviting. Nice bouji atmosphere if that's your thing. Staff lovely, cocktails en point (a mean Raspberry and Peach Gin was served: delicious...see pic). Overall, a lovely place for some banter and cocktails. Will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant, place is spotless. We had a team lunch, had a lovely bottle of wine, I had the mushroom bruchetta, then steak frites, I asked for med to well done, what I got was blood oozing onto my plate, had the crumble which was lovely. The party seemed to have enjoyed their food. Hopefully be back soon for another visit.

Lovely ambience in the city centre. Ideal for a special night out. I had crab and avocado followed by the fish pie - both delicious. My husband had the scallops then chicken snitzel - he enjoyed both but was disappointed with the portion size. Service great but service charge added for two people!

Went in for a breakfast on a slow and quiet Monday morning. Excellent service and location is great right on George square. We ordered americano and latte which were very well done. We were disappointed in the egg cooking. The scrambled eggs were dry and overcooked and brown and the poached eggs were cooked in vinegar. Basic egg cooking skills seem to be missing today.

Had our staff Christmas Dinner. Staff were very attentive. Food was nice, portions were a little on the small side but all things considered a minor detail. Profiteroles were lovely. Good meal was had and don't know of any complaints from the team.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. The only slight fault was that the pumpkin (on the festive set menu) was bland and the dessert took a while to come out.

Out for a team lunch. We were a party of 13. Table was booked in advance. On arrival we were shown straight to our table. Staff were very attentive. drinks came out within 10 minutesStarters didn't take long to be served. After the dishes were cleared, mains arrived about 10 minutes later. Some had desserts plus tea/coffee.In all we really enjoyed the food and the staff were excellent.Highly recommended.

Popped in and had a lovely lunch. The service was fantastic, food was lovely as always. Quite quiet so was really easy to get a table. Definately worth a try if you haven't been in before. Lovely and modern inside aswell great for a girls day's out.
