It is attractive inside , the trainee staff were lovely , but needed the manager to organise them to be more efficient . There was a bit of a hiccup with the service due to IT problems .. the food sadly was not great . To much tarragon in the soup . I think the dishes were " trying to hard ' . I got one roast potato so I had to ask for more veg . Others at my table said there was no gravy on the turkey . . The dessert was better .

Really good value for money. Restaurant quality food at bargain prices with excellent service. Booking essential and only open during College term times Monday to Friday. After your meal nip into the City Market next door for some baked goods at similar great prices

I like the idea of this place where they train people as chefs and front of house. I went with some "old" school friends and won't go again. The staff being trained were very pleasant but when we tried to give some constructive criticism to the teacher in charge, she became very aggressive quite unnecessarily. Really put us off and must have been embarrassing for the students. They need someone to teach them that you don't lose it when things don't go your way.

Outstanding evening here with national chef Gary MacLean. Service by final year students was impeccable. Outstanding quality in the food from start to finish. Chefs aiming for the best. An experience to be savoured

Fantastic Mexican Street Food popup night. Beautiful professional food and terrific, attentive hospitality from the student workforce. Very clever dishes, all with genuine authentic Mexican flair. Would recommend.

We enjoyed another excellent lunch at Scholars on 28 February. The students we spoke to were new to serving but we're very polite and couldn't have been more helpful.I started off with the excellent salmon dish, while my friend enjoyed the colourful and tasty aubergine/sweet potato. We both had beef cheeks which just melted in the mouth and had the most delightful sauce and was even tastier than the beef cheeks I enjoyed at a 5 star Glasgow hotel recently. The chocolate pudding was rich and delightful, though we didn't really enjoy the accompanying flavoured ice cream, but that didn't detract from the whole enjoyable experience.
