Driftwood in Glasgow City

Great pub with a fun cocktail menu and good prices for Glasgow city centre. Not far from the hydro and SECC as I went here before going to see Stereophonics at the Hydro. Just a 5 minute taxi journey away, it cost about a fiver and it was the same to get to driftwood from Buchanan street bus station.

Great atmosphere and great drink promotions

Very nice place. Good vybz and music! Got drunk for the first time in 33yrs can't remember what or how it happened but I the staff didn't throw me out.

My friend was told to leave as she was wearing ‘tack suit’ bottoms and this place has a no tracksuit policy, we showed the manager that these were labelled Adidas trousers on the website but the manager still told us to leave, I asked what the policy was about considering it’s a bar in Glasgow that sells cheap drinks, what customers do they expect to attract ? she said “90% of bams wear tracksuits”, I worked in a country club that wasn’t even as snobby and judgemental as this place, I also watched this woman speak about my friend behind the bar, please learn how to be professional and maybe some customer service skills would be lovely too as she was very blunt and just rude.

Great food great beer great staff. The manager Clancy is brilliant

Friendly staff and a good place to sit out in the sun with a drink and nice snacks

Great place, unfortunately the experience was tarnished by the bartender with glasses. We booked a table inside for later that night, and because we were sitting outside before that our booking wasn’t fulfilled, even although you can’t book outside seats anymore. So It literally makes zero sense. A place you thoroughly enjoyed tarnished by power tripping bartenders. Shame really.

Me and my friends from Uni, had booked a table on Thursday, and despite the Covid restrictions on beer gardens, we were thoroughly impressed that they sent outdoor heating during the cold times! They really care for their customers, and even when the kitchen was closed, went that extra mile to get us 2 portions of chips. Will absolutely be going back when they open for sit in, as it was a lovely atmosphere. Staff are very friendly ❤️

Really like the quirky outside of the bar. Inside great staff and good range beers. great way to srat pub crawl if you in town with mates. Latest update roadworks just outside driftwood this due to new pavements being done.
