I-Chai in Glasgow City

Very good food but you have to be willing to wait a while and pay a premium.It’s the best takeaway Chinese food I’ve tasted in Glasgow but it is expensive when compared to others.Delivery takes off another star, because it averages over an hour (in my experience) and the restaurant don’t use Uber etc. drivers, so there’s no tracking.

dear god, that was revolting. easily the most disgusting "food" i have been served in a long time. the chips were clearly reheated several times and dripping with fat and flavourless. i remember the days when chow mein was a fresh, zingy tasty meal where you could easily identify each of the ingredients. this was a fat-soaked, congealed brown mess though i think i could possibly spot a little bit of chopped spring onion, but don't quote me on that. the whole lot solidified into a lumpy mass before i finally chucked it into the bin. god in heaven, if this is what passes for "chinese" food these days, they can keep it. appalling!

Lovely food lived in knightswood for 30years never been here before . Will def be back food was delicious

My daughter booked table for 4 of us here on a Sunday night for the tapas. Place was packed and after eating the food I can understand why....it was delicious and fresh and the service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back! If you want to try it I'd advise booking.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I used to eat here all the time, but I was served rotten chicken and accused of putting it in my own food by the manager!! Completely unprofessional. I’m pregnant and a vegan so I definitely would NOT eat rotten chicken or have it to put in my own food... wouldn’t offer a refund and started laughing and shouting at us in front of a full restaurant. They were quick enough to take the rotten food back and hide it from the sight of the other customers. Disgusting service. Don’t go there. Food safety inspectors are due to visit them shortly. (They still served the rotten chicken to other people that day!!) horrible manager she should be sacked

Have been eating at the Ichai since it opened, food is beautiful & staff very pleasant, polite & attentive. Cannot fault this wee gem in any way. Keep up the good work Ichai 😊

We booked for a table of 6 for the festive menu and the whole visit was excellent! Staff were very attentive and most importantly- the food portions were large and very tasty! Mixed platter as a starter was my personal highlight.

Popped into this place on boxing day evening without a reservation, and although they were busy they managed to find us a table. I ordered a king prawn curry and it was amazing! Mum ordered the chicken with orange sauce and I didn't hear from her until she was finished! Never known her to eat so much in one sitting, she cleared her plate! The portions are large and the best Chinese curry I've had in a long time and mum said the same about the chicken in orange sauce. The staff are lovely, very attentive and helpful and nothing is a bother to them. Will definitely be back, and very soon. Havent been able to find Chinese food I really like after trying quite and few places, until now! Well done I'Chai, we loved the whole experience 👏👏👏

Food is good (hence 2 stars), but be prepared to wait on average over 2 hours for delivery and being unable to get through to speak to someone. We will not be using Ichai again for this reason.

Absolutely fantastic hidden little gem. Portion sizes amazing and they offer the rest to take home if not able to finish it all. Nice lunch and dinner deals 2 or 3 courses.
