Just fantastic! Celebrated my birthday here recently and everything we had was delicious. We were all keen to share with each other how tasty our dishes were. Staff were warm and attentive, nothing too much trouble. A family favourite. Thank you.

An absolutely amazing experience. From booking to arriving and eating, the service was faultless. An absolutely fabulous menu with a fantastic wine list and cocktail menu. Our food was exquisite, fresh and superb value for money. I would highly recommend La Lanterna. We will certainly be back.

Perfectly cooked filetto rossini recommended. Monkfish was a bit stiff, but overall really nice

At first I was a little concerned that it was In the basement. It's a lovely atmosphere, nicely decorated and cosy. We were delighted with the food, as per my attached photos. I would not hesitate to go there again.

Great wee traditional Italian restaurant in the middle of Glasgow. Very cosy. Staff are super attentive and friendly, and the food is great. One of the specials of the day was aubergine ravioli and it was fabulous. They'd run out of the lemon sole which is what my 2 colleagues wanted, but I guess that just goes to show that it's fresh and when it's gone it's gone. Good wine list too - the Gavi di Gavi was excellent.

We had a lovely dinner here and it was a unusual experience to be in a restaurant that is in a basement, it added to the atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and the food was excellent, would totally return again in the future. The only snag was that it felt a bit cramped because we were sat next to a busy walkway with people walking by all the time but it was a small sacrifice for a fantastic dinner.

This is a delightful Italian restaurant. Beautiful, bright but cosy decor with very welcoming and friendly staff. Was busy for mid afternoon on a Tuesday (7 December), which made a great atmosphere, and the service was very good. Food from the festive menu was absolutely delicious. A wee hidden gem.

Terrible service and an ambiance more fit for a open mic comedy show than a romantic date. Great appetisers and deserts. The perfect place to ruin your dates vibes. So after getting a reservation which comes with a £40 cancellation fee, £20 per person, you would assume that the staff would greet you after you enter after entering the restaurant through a locked door you have to buzz to get in, (that I did enjoy as it felt more high class). However disappointment came when not only did no one actually greet us or even talk to use for 20 mintutes till about 5 minutes after our table was scheduled to be done. (They have a coat room for coats but never asked for ours despite how attentive they were at the end of night asking if anyone had any coats to check out). Then after getting our table the waiter threw 4 different menus each onto our table, good amount of reading, and then proceeded to act like we were late for a plane. My god in 15 minutes we had to tell them we weren't ready to order from the atlas 5 times. Now all of this could have been fixed by the food and by the grace of God the appetisers were exquisite. The battered caliamri flaked and melted in your mouth, the prosciutto with walnuts and honey worth every penny. For a brief moment this restaurant really was the best Italian restaurant in Scotland. Then the main course came, after getting rushed again and again to order from the lexicon we ordered the scallops and chicken. For an almost £20 price tag for chicken you would expect to an abundance of spices and seasonings or perhaps a sauce to being out the flavour of the meal, what I received was basically a big chicken burger and painfully enough I have bought better from Asda. The scallops were good. They are scallops. After all this we come to the finale, desert. Cheese cake wonder absolutely marvelous with the strawberries. Ice cream with chocolate sauce marvelous. Was it worth it for amazing appetisers and deserts. I almost would say yes if I didn't get horrendously ill about 2 hours later and empty most of my stomach. (Date says she saw a staff member from a fork near the kitcken and put it back with the rest). So it seems Scotlands best Italian restaurant is clinging to its decaying title and though there are clear remnants of it's glory I personally doubt I'll ever go there again after emptying £80 of food into my toilet.

Lovely authentic Italian...very busy but not at all rushed. Food was delicious and cocktails good too!

The best steak ever, tasty and for a very good price! Hugh wine list with so many good wines 🍷, definitely a 10/10 for a service atmosphere and delicious food.
