Kenyan owned restaurant in Glasgow. Very ideal for meetups and birthdays . Totally worth it. Had amazing meals here.

The egusi and pounded yam was fire! I don't recommend Ethiopian food but that egusi was delicious

·

It's not a simple review this one, go if you like to hang out, talk and maybe negotiate a bit with people. Expect some of the unexpected and some good food maybe not always quickly

·

We lived in Nigeria over 40 yrs ago and it was great to enjoy Star beer, fu fu, egusi soup and fried plantain. Service was first class too. We’ll be back!

Well, I was hungry and was served pounded yam with egusi soup though I ordered vegetable soup (spinach). The waiter returned like 7mins later to inform me no vegetable soup so I had to choose from egusi, okro or ogbono soup. There was/ were no meat(s) in the soup except for maggi/cube-sized meat like 5pieces. Barely conspicuous. I was shocked to say the least. In a Nigerian soup back home, the soup will be "contending" for space with the plenty meats in the plate. Finally, I had expected African music from the speakers but it was hip hop blazing all through. In all, the food was hot and my tummy filled. Q.E.D! Lol

I was in this bar new years eve, one of their female staff claimed I was touching inappropriately, All I did was touch her shoulder to tell her I my bank card was not with me, would you come with me to my table or I should go and get my card, her response was don't touch me and I said in was I meant to just walk away without telling you I need to go get my card?Next thing she went to complain to a staff called Daniel mixed race fella from someone in Caribbean, more like Daniel wanted to impress the female staff, without asking me any questions, he told the security to get me out because I touch a female staff by the shoulder. About 5 staff had to lift me from the bar area and just dump on the stairs,No man should be treated the way they treated me.

Had a good jellof rice here with plantain and chicken. It was a nice and cosy place with Nigerian music playing at the background. You may have to wait for about 15 minutes for your food to be ready, but it is worth the wait. I felt I was in one part of Lagos. The interesting thing is that it is close to the central station

I agree with the concept of providing a variety of African dishes, but I believe you have to stick to the dishes you know how to cook, I am currently in Glasgow and fancied some Nigerian food, so decided to try the pepper soup, nah, it tastes like boiled meat and very bland, the other day I ordered okra soup again, there was hardly any orka in the soup and it was brown instead of green, they need to stick to their Kenyan dishes or get a proper Nigerian chef to cook the Nigerian food and where do they serve stew as a side dish with pepper soup, never seen that before either.

It's now sushi bar fantastic quality food my wife had ramen noodles I had like katsu beef curry noodles.... Awesome

·

My expectations for the entire ambiance were higher however the table was pleasantly set upon arrival :-).The waiter was overwhelmed and the quality of service was jeopardized at its peak hours. The nyama choma and ugali were delicious.Should I desire to go again, I will make sure there is no football match going on!!!The restaurant turned into a football stadium.
