The restaurant lacks a bit of atmosphere, it's not exactly cheap so I think it should have some nice touches as opposed to for example, very basic furniture. Saying that, the food is really nice. I had the mussel platter and it was delicious, good value too. The place is a decent choice for seafood if you're not after any fancy dining experience

Tried the mussel inn today as fancied a wee change and we weren't disappointed. A warm welcome as we walked in and we were shown to our table the staff took our drinks order and our drinks promptly arrived. We had both tucked into our starters before I thought about taking a picture to share as the smell was amazing and we were both hungry. The cajun squid was cooked to perfection as were the shallot mussels. Then the seafood platter's arrived and as well as being visually delightful the flavours of all components were equally delicious too. The staff were friendly and very professional. I would recommend the Mussel Inn to anyone wanting a good plate of seafood in a nice relaxing atmosphere.

We ordered a lunch special which is the seafood chowder with fries and a 1/2 kg steamed mussels. Both are very delicious. Mussels are fresh. The reason I only give four instead of five stars is because the soup is a little bit salty to me. Other than that everything is great.

I always visit Mussel Inn when in Glasgow. They serve fresh seafood of excellent quality. I like to experiment and their menu always have something exciting to choose from. The staff is very friendly and happy to answer any questions. My recommendation: start with oysters and get one of the scallops mains!

Great Quality SeafoodMussel Inn has been one of our regular eating spots for the past 3 years and has always delivered a great atmosphere, tasty dishes and personal customer service. The pre-theatre menu offers a summary of the A la carte menu with 2 or 3 dishes for set prices. We ordered the chowder, fish and chips, crab rolls and mushroom pasta. The dishes were presented well and the taste was incredible especially the crab rolls which had a hint of annis which I personally don't like but this dish changed my mind and I loved it. Of course the chowder and fish and chips were delicious.RecommendationsFully recommended and well worth the money for the quality of food you are served.#localguides #letsguide #garystribe #blogger #foodblogger #food #glasgow

Staff are really attentive. Place is spotless. I always order the same 1/2 kilo shallot in white wine. You get a complimentary wee basket of bread and butter. They only do coke/diet coke. No diet pepsi or pepsi Max 😭 offer a good range of tea. They also offer some dishes that aren't mussels so worth checking their website. They used to do a fab pear cheesecake but that has changed to something else (I am a fussy riot). Author half got the dessert and really liked it.

This is THE place to eat mussels. Tried the one with white wine sauce and another with blue cheese. Both were great. The mussels were plump and fresh. Very little of that muddy smell that you might sometime find in less fresh mussels. Personally, I prefer the white wine sauce given the delicate taste of the mussels. The blue cheese sauce is great but I prefer a slightly less overwhelming sauce. The restaurant is simple yet tastefully decorated with an open kitchen to see the chefs at work. This makes perfect sense as the best way to eat mussels is simply to use your hands. For this I rather have a more casual environment instead of a formal atmosphere. There is a decent drink list although be warned that they do not allow for outside wine to be drank at the premise. Aside from this, service was great. The waitresses were attentive and eager to ensure that we were well served. I will definitely want to come back and would recommend this place to anyone else.

Love this place, good food and very reasonably priced! The queen scallops are small but very tasty and the sauce of the mussels leaves you wanting more bread to dip into! Always make this a to go to place when in Glasgow!

Good quality seafood in a friendly atmosphere. Menu is seafood focused with limited offer on meat dishes. Wine list is short and sweet.
