Just ordered for the first time on Uber eats and the food was absolutely delicious, it was at my door within twenty minutes of ordering I usually order Chinese from the lemon tree as I’m a creature of habit but I’m so glad I ordered tonight I had the aromatic crispy duck pancakes and the were so fresh and tasty, can’t wait to try more of the menu. 10/10

Absolutely disappointed first and last time I will ever order from this restaurant again. Portions for the money is scandalous. Then I call up and complain and the lady told me that they have this business for 35 years and never received any complaints about their portions.. Never again

The best Chinese takeaway in Glasgow. The bad reviews are from some time ago ! Don't pay any attention, the quality is on another level these days!

After using this local restaurant for years, the time has come to go elsewhere. The standard has been slipping for some time now and after our last meal, enough is enough. Can't follow simple instructions, food is blatantly reheated and when you have the audacity to call and question them, you are met with vitriol and aggression on the phone. If you want fresh food and accurate orders, I'd suggest going elsewhere.

A great Chinese I would definitely recommend. Has the usuals - including those which aren't technically Chinese food which are just made for a UK pallet (they're awesome) - along with some more authentic dishes. It has a menu in Chinese which you'll see on the street outside with lots of proper Chinese dishes for the many Chinese students studying at nearby Glasgow Uni - although if you can't read Chinese and still want to order from the authentic Chinese part of the menu you may need to ask for assistance!Whilst perhaps not authentic their Salt & Chilli Chicken Balls are great. They could do with making their salt and chilli chips quite a bit crispier as we found them quite soggy and had to cook them more at home to firm them up...All in all though a great restaurant - wish it were open more!

I used to come here quite often mostly when the park bar had closed for the night. The food can be a hit or miss most often it's a miss with the food often looking like sloppy re heats from several days previous.Chicken chow mien contains so much chicken it can fill a tablespoon no joke.In the past I've seen the service staff can get into arguments with customers where on a regular basis you see shouting matches.Best advice would be to avoid this place. As forest gump once said life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get, this place is very much like that.

For the past year I have been a loyal customer to Golden Bell as they had my favorite Chow Mien in Glasgow. On average I order vegetable and shrimp chow mien once a month. Yesterday was my first bad experience when I ordered the King Prawn Shrimp Chow Mien. Upon receiving my food from uber eats the chow mien was not even up to par as normal chow mien. I have eaten chow mien from various Chinese restaurants around the world and yesterday's Chow Mien was horrible. First, the chow mien noodles were cut into small, chopped size pieces. It seemed as if it was not fresh and it was the last of the batch. For me getting the last of the batch is okay, but only if it is presentable and suitable for serving, but it was not. Additionally, my main problem was that the entire chow mien was soaked in sauce as if it was "soup chow mien". I gave Golden Bell the benefit of the doubt knowing that people are not perfect and make mistakes and no-one is perfect including businesses, so I called the restaurant immediately explaining I was a long term and consistent customer and that this was the first time I had received such bad chow mien from their restaurant. The lady on the phone continuously tried to turn the situation on me saying that I must ordered incorrectly because there are two ways of making chow mien. However, for the entire year that I have been ordering the same thing (vegetable and king prawn shrimp) from Golden Bell it has only come in one way. The lady on the phone continued to argue with me on the phone and explain I was wrong. As a business owner the reason you are in business is because of your customers. Without customers you are nothing. As a loyal customer for one year I felt very disrespected with the ladies tone and attitude and her demeanor in that she was trying to blame me for the excessive sauce. After yesterdays experience I will not be ordering or dining with Golden Bell. If this is how they treat their long term customers, imagine how they treat everyone else when there is a problem. I will take my business and money somewhere where it's more appreciated.

This restaurant is so bad compared to other Chinese restaurants. I ordered chow main noodles and it came like soup noodles. Plus, it was not fresh. I felt like they sent me an old prepared chow main. I called the restaurant in after receiving my order to explain the situation. Then, the lady was trying to turn it on me by saying you might have made a mistake when ordering and started giving me excuses. She did not even say sorry.

Food was prepared very quickly and was piping hot when I collected it. Free prawn crackers and fortune cookie was a nice gesture but my Kung Pao chicken was not nice. It was like spicy chicken stock thickened with cornflour. Not the usual fruity spicy flavour associated with the dish. However, I also got curry chips and these were very tasty and very large portion. The staff are also very nice.

Service was brilliant, but the meals left alot to be desired. Sweet and sour pork was tough and terrible flavour, chicken and cashew nuts contained very little meat and little flavour. The side included in the cost of the main was 70% of the dish. Totally disappointing!
