O Sole Mio in Glasgow City

Had dinner here last night before Theatre. Very busy. Staff were lovely and food was great. Not too expensive when you compare other places. A wee diamond in Glasgow.

My wife and I were glad that the restaurant was open as we know it had closed as they had to close because a hotel was supposed to be built on the site. The owner and staff are brilliant and our server Louise was great and nothing was a bother to her. The menu was great and a 2 course meal for 2 at £12.95 is great especially in the city centre of Glasgow and the food selection was great and our bill was only £37.85 and that included 2 glass of wine. The next time that we are in GLasgow we will be back in again.

Had a lovely meal tonight food was excellent and reasonably priced great value for money waitress was nice was lovely and made us feel very welcome

I visited O Sole Mio for the first time in 7 years since the change of premises. Despite my party being a little late and clumsy the staff were excellent and catered for us all. It's such a nice authentic experience and venue in which you can really enjoy yourself.

Pleasant, attentive staff. Food was really good. It was my first time in the new venue and felt quite packed in. Also very busy at the 5.30pm time slot but potentially pre-theatre crowd.

Food way cold. Partner ordered an anchovie pizza, chef literally forgot about the anchovies (LOL), sent pizza back and it came back with cold anchovies ontop. No effort given at all. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. On a lighter note the serving staff were 10/10.

Loved this place!Had a table booked for later in the evening,called to bring it forward and it was no problem at all!Ordered our starters and mains together for a proper feast,everything arrived together and was perfect....the prawns were absolutely amazing!Service was great,polite and speedy.Would definitely recommend and I'll definitely be back for more prawns!

Visited for 1st time at lunchtime. Good choice on lunch menu, 2 courses for £11.95. Ordered Bruschetta Napoletana to start and Spezzatino di Vitello (veal stew). Although the Bruschetta wasnt the best I have ever had it was still really good and the veal stew was excellent. Other party members ordered the mussels, pizza and spaghetti bolognese and they all enjoyed as well. I would definitely recommend the food and the staff were great as well.

So sad to see this place go, had a catch-up with the girls and we ate from the set menu which had a great range of options. Food was lovely, well cooked and nicely presented - hit the spot. Great value too as it included a drink in the price. O Sole Mio will be missed in Glasgow!
