We ate outdoors. Staff were very attentive. Super dog friendly, Dave got individual attention. Food was superb, large portions.Second visit, what a difference, completely different staff. On first occasion, receptionist provided a menu, took our order and payment. This time, different receptionist said go and photo QR Code on table, order on line. The online menu did not show vegan and vegetarian options or give food allergy advice, so we still had to ask for menu. Then we had a wait to order food, obviously unexpected by staff. First occasion chickpea and spinach curry was superb. This time food was cold and far too spicy, burning the stomach as it went down, could not be eaten. Comment from waiter, 'I will tell the kitchen." (Why do most restaurants assume vegans want spicy food?) We had to ask for sweet menu, requiring allergy information again. Having ordered and waited about half an hour we assumed we had been forgotten and left.Oak Tree Inn, get your act together, service, not online.

This place is really nice.Staff were great especially Rosemary who is a true gem.The accommodation surpassed our expectations with an almost castle feel in a cottage.Everything you need here for a most pleasant and comfortable stay.Would highly recommend to all.Thanks,Bryan.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Oak Tree. Excellent shower, comfortable room. The staff were friendly and the service was good. I particularly liked the choice at breakfast of choosing individual things or having the set price buffet. The food was good. I would certainly like to stay again. Thanks.

We booked the winter dinner bed and breakfast deal, which was fantastic value. Our deluxe room had a large picture window overlooking the loch and the complimentary Scottish toiletries, shortbread and coffee were a lovely touch. The only thing that I felt let the room down was the lack of a bath. Breakfast was a cooked buffet selection with vegan options on request and very attentive staff. I'd definitely highly recommend visiting this place and also make sure you do one of the local walks as the surrounding scenery is stunning.

A fantastic large room with a view. Immaculately clean and cosy. Dining on the evening was a real joy. Excellent waitress service, so happy colleagues and a fantastic atmosphere throughout.Food was exceptional and massive portions.Beautiful walks on the arrival day and also the next day.All this just under an hour from our house. We will definitely be back in the summer.

Fantastic place, customer service was exceptional. We went on a Saturday night and although it’s out of the way the atmosphere was brilliant. Very popular place and for good reasons, food was fantastic. Great view from our room, very clean and decorated with a rustic decor with stylish amenities (very powerful waterfall shower). Local roasted coffee supplied in room is amazing, I would highly recommend buying a bag to take home with you. Totally worth the stay and we will make this a regular visit.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away from the kids. We had a very relaxing weekend away. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was also fantastic - we ate their twice for dinner and also enjoyed the breakfasts. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The staff were also helpful with retrieving some items we accidentally left behind.Highly recommend staying for the relaxing atmosphere, comfort, food, and friendly staff.

We stayed on Sunday and Monday night taking advantage of the 40% off accommodation offer. I booked a superior room and received a free upgrade to a Deluxe room. The room was lovely, clean and well furnished with a balcony overlooking the Loch. The bathroom was gorgeous and modern with rainfall shower and a bath with built in TV so it felt luxurious. My only complaint was that the mattress was too hard, no give whatsoever and gave me pins and needles. Otherwise the staff were fabulous, food was great, the location is amazing and we were very happy with our stay. I would recommend breakfast is extended to 10am and checkout is 11am.
