Oakwood Garden Centre in Glasgow City

Great range of plants, shrubs and trees as well as pots. Shop sells all gardening accessories you could ask for, and really nice restaurant with smashing views. Good food at reasonable prices and not cramped..well worth a visit.Had another visit today for Mother's day and once again all was great. Made a call in advance of our visit requesting Janet put aside some strawberry tarts as they are delicious and always disappear fast. Just as well as all were gone when we arrived. That's the kind of service you always get at Oakwood Garden Centre, they go above and beyond for their clients, food is always fresh and equally delicious. Thanks to all staff, you deserve it.

Oakwood is in a country setting and the restaurant has phenomenal views over sheep-filled fields and rolling hills. The staff are terrific service-wise and willingly share a laugh. They have a fairly wide range of food which is all of a good standard, and not expensive. At the till point sits a glass refrigerated unit stuffed full of fantastic-looking cakes ranging from staples such as victoria sponge and scones to the sensational carmel apple granny and pineapple tarts. This display of hedonistic pleasure has a hypnotising effect on mesimilar to Mowgli's encounter with Kaa in Jungle Book. Being a garden centre Oakwood, has abundant plants everywhere including the outside seating area of the restaurant. In summer sitting out there is sublime, and enhanced further if you're a nature lover as various raptor types and deer can be spotted. Well worth a visit.

Very good food andfriendly helpful staff

We went for lunch on a Sunday and sat outside with my favourite view of the Dumgoyne.. Food was lovely and nicely presented. Tables were socially distanced and hand sanitiser provided at entrance to cafe.. Will definately return..
